For some reason, perhaps it’s because Leona and The Veronicas are joining us over in KL, seems like Halloween’s going to be one serious affair this year. Just for fun, I thought we’d discuss our costumes planned out for the weekend, and perhaps also the relevance of celebrating a western holiday in South East Asia.

If you’re planning on celebrating Halloween, here are some costume ideas. Lady Gaga and Avatar Na’vis are expected to rule the streets this year. And it’s really no wonder – Gaga has been giving us a plethora of iconic looks that are completely DIY-able the past year.

Butchers are however warning against costuming a meat dress.

Another cute option is to ride on our current obsession with Apple apps.

Or to embody a prime time favourite.

Hollywood’s always had a thing for public service.

Though you could just stick with Superhero staples.

But going as food is always cute!

What will you be wearing this Halloween? Will you be celebrating it this year? Or do you think the festivities end when you’re too old to trick or treat? Do you reckon hitchhiking a Western holiday is heartwarmingly universal or kind of lame? Just for fun, let’s discuss!
