To commemorate the annual World AIDS Day December 1st, we look at two steadfast brands committed to the cause.

The first is an exclusive tee designed by Isabel Marant for (Gap)Red. The limited edition RM89 grey v-neck tee which features colourful prints and an oversized silhouette, two Marant signatures in her designs, will have 50% of all profits from sales being driven to the Global Fund to help eliminate AIDS in Africa. The second, MAC’s Viva Glam collection that pledges every cent from sales to the MAC AIDS Fund. MAC Malaysia will be selling both the pink and nude shades from the Lady Gaga Viva Glam collection together with a makeup pouch for RM168. Alternatively, each lipstick is available for sale at RM68.

Now, to be clear, we’re not glorifying consumerism culture here. Awareness is always the first step to any education and if purchasing a trusted brand while contributing to charity kills two pretty birds with one simple sum then we bid a simple death to those feathered friends. To learn more as well as give back to charity, head to the official Malaysian AIDS Foundation, or search your local country’s.

The Isabel Marant for (Gap)Red and MAC Viva Glam collection are available at all major outlets across Malaysia.
