Moving away from the seasonal brights from Spring/Summer 2013 past, we shift into a wave of slouchy neutrals, which make the perfect palette cleanser before Fall/Winter. We asked a few blogger friends to select their favourites from Gap – from white cotton shirts to relaxed khaki bottoms, it turned out to be a breezy curation of closet must-haves.
The-Kins Blogger, Michelle Ooi, picked out this sweetly striped tee (RM139, Gap) and paired it with a pair of its super comfortable, versatile shorts (RM209, Gap) to show off her casual side. She topped the look off with a thick, woven belt, some small delicate arm candy, and a pair of chunky black wedges to make a bold statement.
Despite Jared Lee’s hyperactive personality, he picked out a look with a calming zen feel by pairing a mint button-down shirt (RM189, Gap) with a pair of khaki shorts (RM169, Gap). He accessorised the simple look with a bright stone beaded necklace, which he wrapped around his wrist to wear as a bracelet!
We had good reason to swoon over Marianne Tan when we saw how artsy her outfit turned out! She picked out a breezy white cotton blouse (RM169, Gap) worn over a pair of fitted neutral pants (RM209, Gap) that matched Jared’s (OMG, couple twinsies!). She kept the look simple, accessorising only with some clean metallic jewellery — some silver bangles and a stone pendant chain, and a pair of navy flats. Oh, the power of je nais se quoi!
When Aaron Chan isn’t busy being a model, he likes to spend his down time outdoors riding bikes, exercising, and doing things outdoorsy people enjoy doing. His pick shows just that, with him pairing bright neon shorts (RM169, Gap) and a basic white cotton tee (RM49, Gap) for maximum comfort. He finished the look by throwing on his favourite pair of high-tops, Huf cap, and cross chain.
Blogger, Kittie‘s pick is just as bubbly and cute as she is (Read more about her here). Choosing a polka dotted monochrome shift (RM229, Gap) and adding her signature Kittie touch with a pair of round shades and a big chunky necklace, it’s hard to ever feel down in a room with her. She slipped on a pair of flatforms, which according to her, “elongates her legs” and makes her taller. You don’t need those shoes, Kittie. Your personality is larger than life!
