In an event that’s been a long time coming, three of the biggest nail polish brands are landing on our shores via Sephora at the end of the month! Anyone who’s head over heels about nail polish will surely squeal at the variety of colours, finishes and effects between these brands.
But it could also get a little bit overwhelming. You should’ve seen us when we received the press kit! To help you plan your next trip to Sephora, here’s our guide to Nails Inc, Butter London and Ciaté.
With its signature cylindrical bottle topped with a silver cap, Nails Inc is UK’s leading fashion forward nail brand with a highly sought after product range and the most successful nail bar chain in the UK, averaging 10,000 customers per week! Designers are also fans, and Nails Inc polishes are often spotted backstage at Fashion Week in shows such as Matthew Williamson, Alice & Olivia, Issa and Jonathan Saunders.
Stocked in Sephora US and Europe and retailed across the Middle East, Australia and Singapore, Malaysians are finally getting their fix of the brand’s stunning effect ranges: Magnetic polish (RM69), 3D Glitter (RM60), Concrete (RM60), Feathers (RM60) and Leather Effect Polish (RM60) alongside hero products such as the nifty Express Nail Polish Remover Pot (RM45) and cuticle-nourishing Vitamin E Oil Pen (RM59).
Look out for Nails Inc’s neutrals, which range from my-nails-but-better nude to gorgeous greige. We’re particularly intrigued by the Concrete Effect Polish range (RM60), which pairs acid bright colour with a sandy, rough texture that’s so ugly-pretty we can’t help but show off.
Prices range from RM45 to RM109. For more information, check out Nails Inc’s website.
Next up, we have Butter London, purveyor of lacquers with charmingly British-themed names; Everything from Lovely Jubbly (glittery grape), Saucy Jack (a ketchup shade of red) to Shag (sexy copper) and West End Wonderland (the glitziest gold, of course). The dizzying range of colours – we count at least 81, spans dessert-sweet pastels to especially long-wearing glitter polishes, and the poshest neutrals.
Behind every nail polish brand is a master nail design manicurist and at Butter London, Global Colour Ambassador Katie Hughes helps develop products and brings her innovative nail design and colour blending talents, leading the brand’s backstage fashion week teams in New York, Paris and London.
To accompany and take care of your polished tips, Butter London has also developed an extensive line of treatments (RM64 each) to strengthen, protect and harden nails, moisturise cuticles, and even a Matte Finish Topcoat to take the shine out of any glossy polish.
Butter London nail lacquers are priced at RM54. For more information, check Butter London’s website.
DIY manicures don’t get more glamorous than caviar nails. And while there are copycats, nothing has quite come close to the original by Ciaté. Founded by celebrity nail technician Charlotte Knight, the brand was created to encompass a luxurious and trend-setting range that any woman could afford to enjoy.
And there’s so much to choose from! Think 88 shades of darling ribbon-topped Paint Pots (RM52) in crème, shimmer, glitter and metallic finishes, as well as the famed Caviar Manicure kits in Black Pearl, Rainbow and Mother of Pearl (RM82 each).
Rounding up Ciaté’s offerings are essential Nail Tonics (RM57) for hydrating and strengthening, as well as its own protecting Underwear Base Coat (RM59) and mattifying top coat, Mattnificent (RM57). With a celebrity following that includes Rihanna, Blake Lively and Kate Moss, we think this brand is poised to take up substantial space among our nail polish stash as well.
For more information, check out Ciaté’s website.
Nails Inc., Butter London and Ciaté will be available at Sephora Malaysia in March.
