I’ve been honing my liner skills since I was about 10 years old (yeah, vain kids get early starts), and if you knew me personally, you’d know I almost never leave the house without swiping on my trusty liquid liner. Here are my tips to the fastest even cat-eye flick.
First, prime your eyelid. I used Urban Decay’s Eyeshadow Primer to help the Stila pencil from smudging as you go along throughout the day.
Dot the end of your eyelid to mark where you would like the flick of your cat-eye to end on both sides so you can immediately tell if your liner is going to be even.
Draw in a line over your eyelid, following the shape of your eye, curving down and making a flick at the end that stops right on the dot.
From the outer corner of the end of your eye, draw a straight line up toward the dot. You’ll now be able to see the shape of your liner!
Fill it in! Get as close to your lash line as you possibly can, even if you have to rub the pencil into your lashes to fill up the blanks because this creates the illusion of extremely full lashes!
Et voila! You’re done. Now you can have the most even eyeliner flicks at any time and any place and just in time for the holiday season.
