Raya is practically knocking on our doors! Just one week till the family gathers, friends reunite and a veritable feast will be had (for days and days!) In case you can’t tell, we’re excited- so excited we’ve been tracking each stage of Raya style-planning. Outfits have been bought, accessories worked out and last minute bargains picked up for extra pizzazz Linux ssh. What’s next? We’re thinking hair and make-up ideas!


First up: A poppy, super fresh look to go with more traditional outfits. While the trends for 2013 are fab, we find ourselves gravitating towards the more old school end of the baju raya options spectrum Paintnet. To combat this, build your look around a bright, modern lipstick with a nod to mod.

Going casual for Raya? Graphic eyeliner and perfectly matte skin will keep your flawless from your first open house of the day to the last. After moisturising, apply Kate Concealing Cover Powder Foundation for an even skintone with a velvety matte finish. Next, apply neutral shadows like a light taupe, a beige and a deep brown from the Sleek Cosmetics Au Naturel I-Divine Palette, creating a gradient to enhance your natural eye shape 24-bit sound recordings.

Add a flick of inky black eyeliner extending past the lashline, then use a brow pencil two shades lighter than your natural brow and create a frame for your brows, filling it in with light strokes.

Complete the look with a creamy, slightly shimmery pinky-beige lipstick like L’Oreal Paris Color Riche in Dewy Beige for easy glamour. Don’t forget to reapply after meals! As for hair, this effortless look just needs an easy blow dry and some serum or cream for a shot of shine.

Next, take a smaller fluffy eyeshadow brush and run the bronzer on the side of the nose, extending to right underneath where the eyebrow starts. At this point we lightened Lydia’s brow with Kate Eyebrow Mascara to keep the look soft and almost-monochromatic in its bronziness.

To tie the look together, apply a plummy brown lipstick – we like BareMinerals new Moxie Lipstick in Rise Up. For a simple, out of the face ‘do, tease your hair for volume then tie a ponytail. Then wrap the hairtie with a little of your own hair, securing it with bobby pins. Runway inspiration with a retro twist!
