Started by Max and Nina Leykind, and later on joined by fashionista, Alexa Chung (for branding and marketing purposes) to ensure that no eye is left looking less fabulous than it should, Eyeko is a brand that is a familiar name to many a beauty geek Download the Wolf Girl and The Black Prince movie. Acclaimed make-up artists Lisa Eldridge, Polly Osmond and Kay Montano all swear by its products, and even celebs such as Jennifer Lawrence, Salma Hayek, Clara Paget and Gemma Arterton adore it 권왕 무적 다운로드!
I had the chance of testing out 4 Eyeko liners for myself and put them through two different torture tests to see how true they held to their waterproof and smudge-proof claims 임진록2 조선의 반격.
1 생활의 발견. Eyeko Visual Eyes Liquid Eyeliner in Marine, RM59, available at Sephora
I’m going to start with my least favourite of the lot, because of how easily it smudged and ran – despite its claim of going on easily and being able to stay on 전자 이력서. The liner came in a beautiful blue-black colour that gave my eyes a subtle pop of colour. The brush also made for easy, straight smooth lines, but failed miserably when put under my water + smudge tests Download our investment securities mug. I also tried to wear it around and came home to blue-black panda eyes after a casual night out with my friends.
2. Eyeko Skinny Liquid Eyeliner in Black, RM49, available at Sephora
The liner comes with a medium-sized felt brush, with an extremely fine point that made application surprisingly easy; even just touching the tip of the liner to the skin gave me an almost solid black line, which I really liked Download The Patriotic Boys 2. This liner only did fairly well when put through my torture tests. Though the formula proved to be more waterproof than smudge proof, this liner’s staying power wasn’t all there, making it a product that I probably wouldn’t invest in cwrsync 다운로드.
3. Eyeko Eye Do Liquid Liner, RM59, available at Sephora
Unboxing Alexa’s Chung’s eyeliner is probably in the top 100 most exciting things I’ve ever done in my life 손대지마. Upon opening the box, you are greeting by her punny “that’s where I draw the line” (could anyone be any more witty or cool? No.) printed in her own handwriting along the side of the liner pen. Its felt tip is noticeably bigger than the skinny liquid liner’s, but comes to end in a point that is just as fine. I found that when drawing on the liner, it was the one that bled the most, but that it could be built up on with layers to achieve different kinds of blacks.
The liner exceeded my expectations during the torture test, when I ran cold water over it and rubbed at it until my skin turned pink – still intact! Probably my favourite one of the bunch so far. Alexa knows best, right?
4. Eyeko Making Eyes Automatic Gel Eyeliner in Pitch Black, RM59, available at Sephora
As beautiful and smoothly as gel liners look and go on, I’ve always had bad experiences with them because of their lack of staying power. Making Eyes definitely changed that for me. The formula went on easily and though it wasn’t as Jet Black as I like my liners to be, it had amazing staying power, and even when it did lighten, it didn’t give me panda eyes. I was sold from that point on.
All in all, I’m glad that we finally have access to this amazing cosmetic brand that’s all about your peepers (thank you, Sephora!). I leave you all with this video of the beautiful queen of the cat eye, Alexa Chung, who will show you exactly how she draws the perfect eyeliner flick for herself.
