What are your personal style rules?
Fit is most important thing for men’s style. Learn the classic rules of gentleman’s style so you can break them properly.
What is your most treasured possession?
My books. Clothes wise, this pair of brogues from Loake. They were my first pair of really nice handmade leather shoes and once you own a pair, you really appreciate the care and craft several people have put in to make them. You’ll never look at dress shoes the same way.
When are you at your happiest?
When the people around me are happy.
What is your beauty regime?
I’d like to think I’m a rather regular straight bloke. Keep your hair (all of it) in check, maybe use a face wash, but besides, that let the world shape the way you look.
What is your favourite scent / smell?
Post-coitus.
Yay or Nay? Sporks.
Is this some kind of sexual innuendo…
I hate it when a woman ….
Expects you to pay for everything. I’m pretty traditional in many ways (being raised in a half Euro household), but there’s just something wrong about a woman who expects it, like she’s entitled. I’d fully be prepared to pay for meals and drinks, but when the bill comes and your eyes wander away or you start playing with your phone, I get put off. At least take part in the push-and-pull, especially if it’s the first time we’re out together.
I love it when a woman …
Is eager to participate in intelligent debate. Talk astrophysics, music, cinema and literature with me, baby.
What’s currently playing on your iPod?
Currently replaying Vampire Weekend’s eponymous first album.
My idea of a perfect holiday is …
You, me, a backpack and something vaguely resembling a plan.
