At first I sadly thought skinnies and leggings would eventually phase out with the upward trend of harem and wide-legged pants. That was until I gleefully found chic alternatives to keep the trend firmly intact. We went through latex, printed, zipper, then studded. Now we find ourselves trend spotting ripped jeans and leggings!

Here’s Taylor Momsen wearing a pair of Current/Elliott black jeans. These skinnies have a 5-pocket detailing with a single-button closure, and has been distressed to scream, “I’m a fashionable tough grungy punk”. It retails for USD206 here.

But this is the sort of distressed I’ve got my eyes on. These skinnies from Topshop are incredibly worn down and slashed. I’ve always held a personal grudge towards plain jeans because I feel they tend to blah my outfits, but these promise to further texturize anything! They cost USD80 (roughly RM260).

For a cheaper alternative, these were put on the racks in Baci just three days ago! Going for RM110, it’s messily distressed and perfectly frayed to bits. Baci is located at:

12-A First Floor
Jalan Telawi 3
Bangsar Baru
59100 Kuala Lumpur

But I will compete with you to get them before they run out of stock, mark my words! 🙂
