I never knew how to pick the perfect jeans or understood how perfect ‘whiskering’ should look like at the crotch level on a pair of jeans – also reasons why I only own two pair of clean coloured skinny jeans. (Yep, without ‘whiskers’.) Anything that would draw the eyes to the crotch area is definitely a big n-o. So these three main things: contrast, fit and comfort, are very important to me when it comes to picking the suitable and the right pair.
As I was given the chance to pick a jeans from Wrangler, I’ve picked something totally different from the jeans I own in my closet – no more skinny jeans and instead, a must for the ‘whiskering’ effect. Thus, my favorite pair of jeans from Wrangler would be the Jane Hip Up 738 - a pair of rich dark blue jeans with minimal whiskering at the front, which matches the delicate faded tone at the hips and a little more at the back. The whiskered-detail is so subtle. This slim-cut pair helps make my torso look longer and thinner and my legs could actually breathe in this stretchy denim. The inner side and the outer side of the denim is so smooth ensuring comfort at the same time. I am glad I don’t have to worry anymore about the jeans’ tightness or stiffness, because what I’ve experienced from other jeans is that they ‘ride’ down every time I sit, and I have to pull them up as I stand.

Top: Cotton On, Jacket: Supre, Shoes: Thunder Blush
So I have this thing for varsity jacket, I am indeed very lucky that my jeans and my jacket blend perfectly! This look is so perfect to me for the days when I feel lazy to dress up but want to nail it. A varsity jacket should be included in the Must-Have list. For this look, I've matched it with my 5-inch heels to feminize the whole look since everything else comes across rather tom-boyish.

Top: Zara striped top, Outerwear: Vintage chiffon & polka dotted slip-on, Flats: Sungai Wang, Bag: Topshop Different patterns of polka-dotted chiffon slip-on and striped top are blended together, making the character of my jeans pop out even more. A pair of polka-dotted flats with a simple bag simplify the whole look. It's definitely for one of those days when you can't decide what to wear.

Top: Liberty, Outerwear: Zara denim oversized shirt, Shoes: October Origins
For the second look, I have selected two different shirts with lighter colours to match with my jeans. This look is definitely for more casual and relaxed occasions. A pair of Oxford flats to give a pinch of 'sweetness' to the whole look.

Top: Cotton On, Outerwear: Mom's vintage jacket, Heels: MNG
The cutting of the jeans I've picked has allowed me to go in layers. I'm also lucky that I have chosen a bright colour long vintage blazer to match the color tone of this jeans. I have found that these jeans can be matched to almost any colour. A simple loose top to match with my blazer. As for the jeans, I've tried a "neat cuff" for this look. It's a two-fold-up! This look is suitable for all my casual occasions, regardless of day or night!

Top: Cheap Monday, Shoes: Topshop
Besides matching this jeans with layers of accessories, I've matched this jeans with an asymmetrical top that gives a twist to this look. Two folds up again at the hem of the jeans, to be matched with a pair of flats OR you can always try a different fold for your jeans. Try folding your jeans sideways so it's tight around the ankle, and then roll up! Or, go for the imperfect roll - a messy roll, for the tousled and relaxed look. Now to the little experiment I’ve done after putting my hands on this jeans - It doesn’t shrink so much in a wash, even after my first, second, and third! I believe it’ll fall to my leg perfectly, even after my 100th wash! A very good quality of jeans is that you don't need to get a one-size bigger like most people do.
