So it is with a lot of buzz and excitement that we announce that Star Creation – a wildly successful Asia-wide fashion design competition that was launched in 2010, is open to receive your über creative sketches!
How does Singapore come into the game though, you might ask?
Star Creation is a joint effort of Textile and Fashion Federation Singapore (TaFf) and Asia Fashion Exchange (AFX). 12 finalists will be selected from the avalanche of entries, and will meet in a showdown a la Project Runway style during the annual Audi Fashion Festival at the Tent@Orchard, Civic Plaza in Ngee Ann City, Singapore in May. The winner will walk away with S$10,000 from Audi Singapore, and the truly once-in-a-lifetime exposure to international experts and the chance to immerse oneself in FJ Benjamin, for one year with as much as S$2,500 monthly stipend and resources to work on a collection.
The judges are just as glitzy, so brace yourself: Mr Douglas Benjamin, CEO of FJ Benjamin (Singapore), Mr David Wang, Chairman for Designers & Retailers Group, Textile & Fashion Federation (Singapore), Mr Colin McDowell, Creative Director of Audi Fashion Festival, and two more surprise judges – about whom you will find out soon enough!

Eligibility:
Asian citizens between the age of 16 and 35 years old, who have had less than two years of experience in the fashion industry, and cannot be engaged in retail activities of their own label during the period of participation.
