Imagine the fervour of working against the clock, ala The Amazing Race, and the stress of creating a perfect ensemble, ala Project Runway. Combine the two and what you have is the “So You Think You Can Style” challenge! This competition takes the best bits from the two aforementioned reality programmes to make it a fun (though possibly stressful) day out.
Jointly organized by Parkson and us, the ‘So You Think You Can Style’ challenge will happen at Parkson Pavilion on 23rd July 2011. We’re on the hunt for 10 teams of three who will compete against each other to see who will walk away with the Top 3 prizes worth RM6,000.
Teams are required to create the most stylish looks using only brands available in Parkson Pavilion. With apparel brands United Colors of Benetton, Desigual, Miss Sixty, Elle and more as well as accessories from Accessorize as tools in this styling playground, we’re very excited to see which team will come up with the chicest ensemble.
In the teams, two will take on the role of stylists for the third contestant, who will strut the final look as the model of the day. Camaraderie and competitiveness takes on a new face, and the stress from the time crunch might reveal cracks under the pressure.
The top three winning teams will be decided by the audience so make sure to bring all your friends and family on the day! The three winning teams will each take home grand prizes worth RM2,000.
If you think you’ve got what it takes or you just want to come along and play, here’s what you need to do:
1. Gather a team of three people (two members will take the role as stylists and they will have to dress up the remaining member)
2. Send an email to us@tonguechic.com with the name, address, IC, contact numbers and a photo of all three members in that team.
3. Wait for the good news.
