Fasting is just around the corner, which means Hari Raya is coming up after! Other than the scrumptious food and intimate Raya gatherings being a joy during this time of the year, another exciting part of Hari Raya is hunting for new clothes (always a bliss!). For inspired looks from the fifties with a touch of military spirit, Jovian Mandagie‘s Aviraya 2012 collection should be your pick. In this collection, tight waist lines, broad shouldered cuts as well as peplum silhouettes are brought to the spotlight to bring the era back to life. Not only that, the military spirit was celebrated by incorporating different military colours – blue, brown, mustard and green into collection. Tesco celebrates this year’s festive Aidilfitri by collaborating with a renowned local fashion designer, Rizalman Ibrahim in an exclusive collection – 20 by Rizalman. For those who adore traditional designs, you are fortunate because elements of short kebaya and baju kurung kedah are infused into this collection. Materials used for the collection are somewhat different too – lycra fabrics are used for the baju kurung and baju kedah pieces (how interesting, right?).
