1. Swap the Old for the (Sorta) New at This Party

In line with our New Year’s Resolution to reduce, reuse and recycle wardrobe items, here’s the perfect place to kickstart your personal pledge. The first step, clean out your homes and sort out the wanted from the unwanted. Be ruthless; if there are items lying around purely for sentimental reasons, just say no and cull it, whether it’s jewelry, home decor or apparel.

Now, instead of merely throwing the unloved pile away, sort out the five best pieces – pieces that you think deserve a new life in a new home – and bring it over to the Swap Party held at The Bee, Publika. Held next Saturday, it’s practically an adoption center for all unused and unwanted belongings, both for you to find new pieces to keep as well as drop off items that could use a new lease on life. It’s a feel good system, barter trading as our forefathers once did, and all leftover items will then be donated to charity. As an extra bonus, participants of the Swap Party will receive a complimentary cup of coffee from The Bee!

Swap Party will be held on Saturday, 18th February 2012 at The Bee, Publika, Solaris Dutamas. For more information, check out the Facebook event page here.
