With a burst of colours and florals, Jaspal unveiled their spring/summer 2010 collection that was sizzling with pure energy. At the start of the event, the hostess of the night, Daphne Iking, shared with the crowd that we were in for a fashion show unlike any other. And true to her word, the Jaspal Spring/Summer 2010 runway collection was something else to behold. As the lights went out and strains of a familiar “rah-rah-rah-ah-ah” tune filled the air, thus cued one of the most dramatic starts to a runway show I’ve seen so far.

Kicking off the show in a fierce way was stylist for the runway, Bobby. As the other models froze to resemble mannequins, Bobby swaggered in his 12-inch platform shoes to open the show, setting the bar for a high octane show.
The Jaspal Spring/Summer 2010 collection for the ladies play with 5 different key trends – denim, florals in pastel hues, prints of stripes, dots and plaids, earth-toned palatte for versatile wear and sportswear for the fashion-conscious athelete.
Dressed-up Denim
The classic fabric is updated with a flirty tone as denim dresses are given a dash of playful ruffles and lighter denim adds a touch of casual.
Lovely Spring Florals in Pastel Hues
Colour is definitely one the most basic staples of the warmer seasons and Jaspal celebrates the occasion with blocks of pastel colours and fun floral elements.
Crazy in Prints
Stripes, prints and plaid add a fun, kicky element to match the season.
Utilitarian Chic
Not to be outdone, work wear gets a serve of chic in the Jaspal Spring/Summer 2010 collection too. Detailed pleats and tucks on basic black are paired with bold accessories – silver chains and shocking pink bags for an unexpected twist.
