Though the actual silkworm is an ugly little bugger, the treated produce is a beautiful thing. Silk fibers when used in textiles result in a piece of fabric that scream instant class while providing an enveloping light comfort to skin. Classic French fashion brand, Hermès, famous for their use of silk in their their accessories like their scarves and ties, is hosting the Hermès Silk Road Show throughout weekends in October to let you experience iconic Hermès silk for your ownself! If that’s not enough to pique your interest, how about the free gelato served at the event? ;)

Hermès silk has proved to be very versatile. The silk ties for men  have adorned the necks of rock stars, politicians and pop stars. Whereas the Hermès scarf is a token fashion necessity for any aspiring fashionista.

One minute it’s a cold protector, the next a headband, and then a belt. It’s all about the limits of your creativity when it comes to accessorising with the Hermès scarf!

At the Hermès Silk Road Show, you’re given a full hands-on experience to feel, touch and play with the accesories. There will be crew on location who can assist you if you’re stumped on ideas. After that, you also have the opportunity to get your picture taken with your styled accessory in a specially made backdrop at the event.

In case you need a starting ground in styling the Hermès scarf, US blog Vain and Vapid has a tutorial on how to tie your Hermès scarf!
