1. One Night Spend @ Replacement

Trust the gang at Replacement to throw a party with two of our favourite things - music and shopping - involved! I betcha there’s booze as well. Imagine walking around a boutique on a happy high from electro punk sounds and alcohol.

  5. Shoe Wheel

I’m wondering why i haven’t seen any place in KL selling something like this to save women (and their men) the pain of having to see shoes strewn all around the storeroom, overflowing the shoe racks, and on the floor of the car (i heard this couple arguing about that on Mix.FM).

  6. StyleMob.Com

If you adore surfing through blogs where fashionistas post up their daily wear, you’ll adore StyleMob.Com.
Think MySpace focused on fashion, where members can post up pics of their outfits and detailed descriptions on where and how much they got them for. As you surf you can vote whether you’re loving it or not, expanding your network (as other people get to see what you like and link back to you), and extracting fashion inspiration from others without blog-hopping for hours.

  7. Etsy

Looking for handmade jewelry? Vintage shoes? Or perhaps you’re looking for a place to sell your hand sewn dresses?
Forget ebay. Check out Etsy instead and as the site says, “Your place to buy and sell all things handmade”. From art pieces to quirky accessories, craft supplies to one of a kind bags, you can be sure to spend hours browsing through thousands of shops, all based in various parts of the world. Talk about a huge mall… and one that with each passing moment convinces me to loosen my hold on my credit card and take my first step into online shopping. But then again, almost any place makes me lose my resolve, making any sort of self-imposed shopping bans near impossible. A few favourites…

  9. The Belfry – Cut, Curl, Colour.

The Belfry is hidden on the ground floor of Tangs in Pavilion.
It’s not as underground as you think as the salon has a wide glass window, providing a giant peep-hole to many a passerby outside.
I had fifteen minutes to kill before a lunch appointment so i popped in to say hello to Matthew Mack, owner and Creative Director of The Belfry (pronounced bel-free), who runs it with partner Jen.
By me making the mistake of saying ‘bel-fry’, he quickly shot me down with, “It’s bel-free!”
Matt had been with the Toni & Guy Europe team for 18 years before venturing to KL, constructing a humbly-sized salon that’s brimming with colour and attitude. Starry chandeliers, turquoise dressing tables, lilac wooden panels and striped wallpaper that makes you swoon (literally) places the salon as one of its kind in KL, unlike the others of minimalist and mod interior.
