Where & Wear: MTV World Stage (MY)
Despite the rain, it didn't stop Xiao and I from playing Style Scout last Saturday at MTV World Stage. Most of the crowd, mainly the girls, were all dressed up for the event and it was a pity that they had to stand in the rain with their beautiful outfits - but the organisers did provide a riancoat! Due to the rain, I only managed to snap a handful style shots of the crowd.

Where & Wear: Shu Uemura Neo-Tokyo Odyssey @ Pavilion KL (MY)
A day after the MODA shows, Shu Uemura brought their own models onto the runway to showcase their new lash collection for the year, titled Neo-Tokyo Odyssey. As usual, Shu Uemura took this opportunity to allow Black Book Artists to showcase their designs on the runway. This year, however, they added more spice to the show by teaming up with 2009 MYDC 2nd-runner up Joe Chia, who designed the outfits to go with the Black Book Artists' creations. It’s a mere three weeks till the Malaysian Young Designers’ competition (MYDC) 2010 and I can barely wait to see what the twelve finalists will come up with for the ultimate showdown.
Where & Wear: THREESIXTY°
Despite my penchant of enthusing over colours (vermillion! turquoise! navy!), my wardrobe does not reflect the same robust excitement and I am left recycling pieces of black and white everyday -- which really is not a bad thing. Less exciting as it seems, it does make for easier pairing, thus less time needed to worry over outfits. It was in those two tones that THREESIXTY° commenced its first anniversary celebration last Wednesday.
Where & Wear: Launch of Absolut Rock
Eyeliner and the colour black seemed the prerequisite for the night as rock gods and goddesses came out to frolic and party at the launch of Absolut Rock at Blackbox, Solaris Dutamas last Friday. Models styled by Cris Yong set the bar for a sartorial palatte that would make rock legends Zappa, Bowie and Jagger swagger with pride. The crowd was no slack either and here within, we show you some of the fashionable style maestros and mistresses we caught at the event.
Where & Wear: Nuugo launch
Tongue in Chic was invited to the private launch of new fashion label Nuugo at Caffeinees Restaurant & Café last Wednesday. The label is co-founded by Koo Kien Keat, current international badminton doubles world champion, and June Chang. They unveiled their debut collection yesterday and staged a fashion show for their ready-to-wear pieces to an intimate gathering of friends and family, including Datuk Lee Chong Wei himself!

Where & Wear: Materiel Parkson Launch (KL) pt. 1
When one door closes, another will open! This rings true with the launch of Materiel in Parkson Department Store last week. The boutique that carries some of the biggest names in cult jeans, have decided an outlet in the busy isles of Parkson, Pavilion was more conducive for business. This new decision also allowed them to work alongside other cult brands. Before the launch however, Materiel organised LaBase Face to Phase Campaign, where 45 people - some personalities and some simply just lovers of fashion, were chosen to represent the label. The final layout of the poster was the centrepiece at the launch day and besides the unveiling of it and a bit of merry-making on the side, this is what took place.
Where & Wear: Lah'Lah'Land 'Junkyard Lah' Part 2
Boasting a wide variety of pre-loved and second-hand goods like bags, clothing and shoes, the crowd at the "irregularly scheduled" Lah'Lah'Land-hosted 'Junkyard Lah' flea market lapped up the casual ambience while mingling and chilling out. The Tongue in Chic team on the other hand got busy behind the lens and snapped up pictures of those who caught the eye!

Last week, I had the privilege to spend a wonderful weekend in Singapore for the Audi Fashion Festival 2010 hosted by the Singapore Tourism Board. It was such an amazing experience and yes, I manage to take or rather stalk some of the many stylish people donning their fashion best during the festival. Here are some of them!

STYLO Fashion Grand Prix is back for its third consecutive year to celebrate the upcming 12th Malaysian F1 Grand Prix Season. This year's theme is "Fashion to Art, Art to Fashion: The 7 Deadly Sins". We managed to get some style shots of the guests and also preview designs!
