Pedder Red is having their final sale. As usual, I found myself pulled into its flagstore at Vivocity because shoes sales always exert an irresistable gravitational force on me.
Of all the lovely shoes going at a crazy half off, it was the Converse 1HUND(RED) collection that caught my eye. Although I don't really need them, I really wanted to bring them home with me.

Thanks for the heads up from incocobox via our chatterbox, TiC stumbled upon this upcoming street style blog based in Singapore. With their first entry dated 19th July 2008, they have since been featured on The Straits Times and Female Singapore! Pretty fast for a relatively new blog, I might say!

The hardest thing in the fashion world, other than getting to the top, is to stay on top. Many designers have had their moment of fame, only to fall back into relative obscurity. It is part and parcel of the industry, which has such ability to make and break overnight that it is simultaneously fascinating and terrifying to newcomers trying to find their footing.

You drink tea scalding hot, with sugar, and perhaps with a drop of milk… but do you think twice about that teabag that is left damp and limpid in that emptied teacup of yours? The trio behind the contemporary hand-fabricated accessories of t43 certainly do, and the inspirations they draw from such teabags have certainly surpassed all imagination.

When there is a trend in opting to surf online more than channel-surf these days, you know that there is a besieging revolution in full force for sure. In lieu with the growing phenomenon of online blogs rapidly subsumed into the stead of newspapers and magazines, these publications themselves are fast catching up with their own versions as well - so what better time than now to introduce the most avant garde of such a concept?

I never thought that I'll be into exotic skins, but when I came across Becksöndergaard Copenhagen's eelskin accessories, I'm a convert! Eelskin doesn't really strike one as the toughest of materials, but you'll be surprised at how soft and supple it feels. In fact, eelskin products are actually very durable, so there's no need to fear that they'll fall apart easily with use. However, what first drew me to Becksöndergaard was not the unusual material used, but the lovely colours!

Cite the name Hansel and the first connection would be Hansel and Gretel, the fairytale that everyone is familiar with. Not for Jo Soh, the design talent who named her womenswear label after her beloved Jack Russell Terrier, a stray pup she rescued.

If you've been snooping around cult boutiques in Singapore, you'd realise that several of them hold really great accessories. Boutiques that fashion enthusiasts often frequent - such as Blackjack, Epitome, Ztamp, Antipodean, and Baylene Fashion Gallery - all hold necklaces from trendy accessories label, Vice and Vanity.

PUMA has, undoubtedly, been giving us nice surprises in recent seasons' collections. In conjunction with Formula 1 recently taking place in Singapore, PUMA debuted its new motorsports themed range, capitalizing on its ubiquitous presence at the F1 by being the official team gear for five teams at F1 (Scuderia Ferrari, Red Bull Racing, Scuderia Toro Rosso, BMW-Sauber and ING Renault), most notably Ferrari.

It's pretty tough to find a vintage store in Singapore. Apart from the odd charity shop, true vintage stores are few and far between. So, when I caught wind of a store tucked away in the heart of Chinatown, I had to visit it in order to believe that it was there. In the midst of a row of shophouses, I located Dustbunny Vintage, the amazing treasure trove manned by Pia.

Kimberlyn Quek aka KimberlynQ is yet another up-and-coming designer, so what sets her apart from the crowd? You need not look further than her many artistic talents. Her resume reads lingerie designer, fashion illustrator, and pattern designer. Sounds like a lot of things on oplate? Not for Kimberlyn.
