Just-For-Fun Friday: Hobo Chic
Last week, my mum asked me to google search "Beggar Prince". Okay, I thought I'd bite - my mum's seriously into Korean drama series, so I figured I'd hit some superstar stud along the lines of Lee Min Ho. What I found instead, was a homeless vagabond turned style iconic internet sensation. Just for fun, let's discuss our opinions on hobo chic since it's suddenly current on a viral level again!
Just-For-Fun Friday: Multi-Talented Models
A clip of Mean To Me, Agyness Deyn's big screen debut, has just hit the interwebs! Which is exciting times, I'll say, because so many supermodels have tried and failed at finding their niche in acting. Before her, Cindy Crawford, Gisele Bundchen and Tyra Banks were all slammed by critics and Claudia Schiffer went straight to video. Today, let's discuss Deyn's chances of breaking the supermodel-actress slump, and just for fun, share our favourite multi-talented models!

Just-For-Fun Friday: Fall 2010 Prada Show
Prada is undoubtedly the star of the Milan leg of this Fall 2010 Fashion Week, at least in my books. Ruffled tiers and voluminous chignons aside, a casting surprise was forecasted, and deliver they did: the night before the show, they kicked their waif norm to the curb in exchange for Victoria's Secret Angels, including Alessandra Ambrosio, Doutzen Kores, Isabeli Fontana and Miranda Kerr. Just for fun, let's discuss this today!

Just-For-Fun Friday: Runway Spills
Last week's fashion shows were pretty major - it hosted our first two model mishaps for the season! Agyness Deyn fell twice during Naomi Campbell's Haiti Relief Show, then Mathilde Frachon took a nasty spill herself at theMarc by Marc Jacobs Fall 2010 showcase just four days later.. I feel horrible about saying this, but seeing those two sent me on this Googlespree for runway tumbles, and I thought I'd share them with you just for fun today.
Just-For-Fun Friday: Valentine's Outfits
*Sorry for skipping JFFF yesterday, but we thought writing about celebrating the festive days ahead was just a little inappropriate during our tribute to Alexander McQueen. Yet no one wants to spend their holidays surrounded by gloom and sad news. So to the fashionable peeps, let raise our glasses and celebrate the life of Alexander McQueen! To the young, old, single, monogamous or polygamous – Happy Valentine’s Day and to our Chinese friends – Happy New Year! Sueann*
The night I turned 16, I had the bawling of my life because I had realised I had come to Disney Princess age, and my charming prince on a white stead was nowhere in sight. As the years have gone by, my perspectives have changed a little, but every now and then I do still wish I could find love taken straight off a film reel. So this Valentine's Day, I thought it'd be fun to give you tips on what to wear to factor into getting that movie moment.

Just-For-Fun Friday: Zipper Eyes
It's no secret that I'm obsessed with Lady Gaga. Despite having only broken out into the scene a little less than two years ago, she very impressively played a key influence and inspiration to the fashion industry for the noughties. Case in point, her zipper eye patch looks like it just might evolve into trend this year. Just for fun, let's discuss this possibility!

Just-For-Fun Friday: Golden Globe Gowns
I was particularly excited about this year's awards season - the economy was picking itself back up and the idea of fashionable these days is to look as avant garde, but disheveled, as possible. I was hoping this would somehow affect the looks we'd see on the red carpet, because honestly Hollywood glamour has been a little on the down side for years. There are key fashionistas amongst a sea of bland. So when I got around to checking out the photos, boy, was I pleasantly pleased!

Just-For-Fun Friday: Size Issues
I've never been a fan of 'size' issues. I'll admit I'm a huge sucker for them; I'd buy anything that strives to celebrate a universally realistic body image in the context of fashion. However, it always only takes one quick scan (and a double-take as confirmation) to realise that most 'size' feature spreads are produced in extremities. Which makes me angry. I'll take you through my point using V Magazine's fabulous Jan/Feb 2010 'size' issue as a reference.

Just-For-Fun Friday: 2010 Trend Predictions
Perhaps I'm making too much of a hoopla over embarking on a new decade. I've spent a few nights now, reading up on articles on what's to come for 2010. Unfortunately, trends won't be newfound. But just for fun, let's discuss what we'd like on our pages of Vogue Magazine this year!

Just-For-Fun Friday: Fun Takes on Christmas
Late last week, I intended to go to a Lady Gaga-themed party decked out in a Maison Martin Margiela-inspired seasonal coat, substituting sparkly tinsel for Christmas tree green, and hanging baubles on it. Unfortunately, I caught a flu and couldn't dazzle ridiculously. But the idea still, nevertheless, had me curious to see how you'd rock the last Christmas of the decade. Perhaps some of the designs after the jump will give you a little inspiration.

Just-For-Fun Friday: The Noughties
For quite some time now, I've had troubles trying to define our style era. The past ten years have been incredibly fashionably erratic, so much so that I have no idea what we'll be proud to remember from the noughties. I even tried asking The Misshapes, who simply replied that it was just about using past references to push boundaries. But since I'm not satisfied with their answer, I'm asking you (just for fun) today.

Just-For-Fun Friday: Royalty-Appropriate Wear
Y'all might be well aware that Miley Cyrus and Lady Gaga performed for the Queen of England among other Brits for the Royal Variety Performance on Monday. Well, the pictures just started circulating around the net, so I thought it'd be fun to discuss their outfits today!

Just-For-Fun Friday: Twi-Hard Style
I'll be completely honest with you. In the office, I have a life-sized poster of Robert Pattinson hanging right behind my desk at lip height. That being said, I still groan and cringe throughout every Twilight experience I have and will encounter.
A lot of people I know have the same strange love-hate fascination for the Twilight series. Which is why I reckon you'll appreciate today's post. Some of you might open a new browser to make an online purchase, some of you might gag. But just for fun, let's go through some of the stylish pieces in Twi-Hard merchandise.

Just-For-Fun Friday: Minx Nails
I have always had a thing for nails in a huge way. I painted my tips yellowfor a Coldplay concert earlier this year, and as I write this, I'm sporting hot orange and pink coats. Anyway, I've been on some perpetual mission to get the perfect quality nail art manicure, sadly to no avail. Which is why my jaw literally dropped when I started seeing Katy Perry showing off her fingertips on Twitter.

Just-For-Fun Friday: Mesh Jeans
It's not even funny anymore. This year we've done skinnies and leggings to death, and back again. We've worn both ripped, studded, bleached, zippered, combined, and ventured into different materials of the sort. So I had a real laugroan when I found this one. A laugroan is a word I just made up to express the tired laugh I make because jeans and leggings are so incredibly overdone it's become ridiculous. But damnamit, I have to admit I'd totally buy this pair of Siwy mesh jeans in an instant!

Just-For-Fun Friday: Fanny Packs
Last week, I had this crazy dream that I was walking through Topshop in KLCC and spotted fanny packs hanging on their accessory rack. Told you the dream was crazy. A few days after, my boyfriend thought he might go as a hawker for Halloween and tried looking around for fanny packs. Coincidence? I thought not. So I started thinking. This year we've been largely revisiting the '80s in terms of dress, so it wouldn't be too far a stretch to predict the return of the fanny packs. So just for fun, shudder with me this Friday! :)

Trend Talk Tuesdays: Studs
There's no denying that one of the hottest trends of the moment is studs. The studded look has been incorporated into everything - bags, clothes, shoes, even sunglasses, and it seems there is no end to the love affair with these little embellishments.

Just-For-Fun Friday: Underwear as Outerwear
Wearing lingerie as outerwear like a superhero isn't exactly a new concept, though it has recently been positioned to become a full-fledged trend. Some say it's one of the things we should have left behind in the '80s. Others say it's incredibly hard to pull off, but when done, it's terrifically avant garde. Just for fun, I'd like to know what you think!

Just-For-Fun Friday: Christopher Kane Beast Prints
It's no secret that the entire TiC team was anticipating and salivating over the new Christopher Kane x Topshop line. Yesterday's release of the collection saw me heading over to Pavilion at 10.30am to purchase an oversized, ripped and snipped croc top for RM273. Yesterday also saw a plethora of local tweets, some loving, some hating Kane's penchant for beastiality prints. Since it was such a hot topic of debate, I thought I'd open up the comments box for you to voice out this Friday, just for fun.

Just-For-Fun Friday: Jeggings
The rise of the harem and all pants wide-legged, seemed positioned to eventually phase out skinny jeans and leggings. Or so we thought, but the tighties are definitely staying put. In fact, they've come back with a vengeance and reinvented - from latex and printed, to shredded and studded! But the one that seems to be catching on fast is the recent merging of leggings and skinny jeans that are aptly named the 'jeggings'. So for Just Fun Friday this time around, I'd like to know if you think whether jeggings are a fashion "do or don't".
