For me, the easiest place to find cheap, trendy clothes is - ITC Mangga Dua! The date for Kings of Convenience LIVE in Malaysia is coming near, have you bought your tickets yet? And last but not least, the FLEASHLIGHTBATTERY Flea Market.

The rise of the blogosphere in 2009 meant a shift in power and fashion bloggers became the new It girls, stylists and front row VIPs. They were celebrated and big brands saw the opportunity through the personal opinions of these bloggers. Blogshops were also one of the new alternatives favoured by shopaholics, convenient while offering the same variety as physical stores but at more affordable prices . Blog Savvy: Versicle (IN)
I first stumbled upon Thika of Versicle on Chictopia. Her post on staying stylish in a small town where no stores such as Forever 21, Zara or even Topshop exists, was inspiring. While the rest of us live in a city where both online and physical stores are accessible and often taken for granted. Thika, or as she like to call herself Marla Singer on the internet, lives in a small town called Jogjakarta - which is about an hour flight away from capital city, Jakarta. She did not frown upon this disadvantage, and instead made use of the blogosphere to record her daily creativity.

New Years Eve is just a few days away and we will be at the biggest most anticipated party of the year: FUTURE presents The Bloody Beetroots and Basement Jaxx! If you're still scouting for retail sales, Pot Meets Pop Denim Warehouse Sale is still going on until the end of the year. MaxMara and Marina Rinaldi is also having further sale reduction after Christmas day. Flea Titan IV will be one of the biggest flea market and music event to welcome the first weekend of the year at Singapore. As I was looking at Glisters and Blisters, the blog of Michelle Koesnadi, latest contributor to Tongue in Chic, I tweeted that "I will not be jealous of a 17 year old". Admittedly I failed because there are just so many reasons to be envious of Michelle. Be it her impressive shoe collection, her savviness with DIY or just her general sense of style, this tall, and I do mean tall, drink of water is certainly one to watch.

Whoever said that small towns don't have potential to be a great shopping destination? Boy were they wrong! Bandung, Indonesia certainly does not fit into that stereotype. Just a 2-hour 130km drive from Jakarta, this beautiful city is worth the trip especially for fashion and food lovers.
