Chic Charity @ No Plastic Bag Bazaar!
Merdeka is coming up, and festivities aside - you know what that means! The No Plastic Bag Bazaar will be happening this Monday, and we blogged how Tongue in Chic will be there to hold Chic Charity and sell special items we've sourced for you from Bangkok, Hong Kong and Jakarta! Reason we're posting this again, is to remind and implore you readers to come donate clothes to Chic Charity!
The No Plastic Bag Bazaar
The Recyclists are back once again with their second installment of the No Plastic Bag Bazaar! Held in the heart of KL, the unique and environmentally-conscious bazaar certainly differs from others out there, with a variety of green and pre-loved items for sale, celebrity-donated items up for auction, a Pet Adoption drive, raffle draws, and the involvement of Threadszoo. In fact, Tongue in Chic will be there too with our Chic Charity booth!

Urbanscapes 2009: Chic Charity
You might remember an event we've held twice so far called Chic Charity. Well, this Urbanscapes, we're bringing it back for a third round in our TiC Zone! So if you're like us, and believe in reusing and recycling even clothes, read on!

I dropped by the WAO centre today to meet up with Projects and Admin Manager Annie Varghese to pass her the money TiC together with the other vendors raised at our last Chic Charity.
Chic Charity @ Somo
TiC held it's second installation of pet charity project Chic Charity last Sunday at Somo in Mont'Kiara! Despite it storming cats and dogs halfway through the evening, crowd turnout was still strong and extremely encouraging. We raised RM1,524 in four hours - from selling and recycling clothes for RM5-15 a piece (there were even brand new Supre things!) and donations from vendors. We're very thankful for everyone's support and hope you found some great bargains as well as had lots of fun!
Chic Charity This Sunday!
Don't forget! TiC will be organising a Chic Charity this Sunday! Do spread the word, post this on your blogs, come by, donate clothes, buy some more, shop for art and accessories, eat, drink, and chill to acoustic performances!
Chic Charity Next Sunday!
Just a heads up before we post about the confirmed vendors and performances on Monday... We're having Chic Charity again! After the great response and feedback we got from so many girls after our first one at U.O.X. Play, we're bringing it back. This time, it will be at:
Venue: Somo, Mont Kiara
Date: 1st March Sunday
Time: 3pm - 7pm
Chic Charity is basically a pet project we have where we collect clothes that girls don't want anymore but are still good condition (and not suitable to donate to an orphanage!) and sell them for RM5-15 each. The whole point of this is to recycle clothes, buy new ones without it being expensive, and all the money goes to the Women's Aid Organisation (WAO).
Keep Your Pre-CNY Wardrobe Spring Cleaning!
Chinese New Year is coming up very soon and for those of you will be cleaning out your wardrobe (like me) to make space for new ones, or (like me) simply want to make space in general; do put aside the clothes you don't need anymore.
Reason being - we're going to hold Chic Charity again in February! TiC had its first Chic Charity booth at U.O.X. Play two months ago and due to its success and everyone's enthusiasm in donating and buying clothes, we'll be having it again very soon.
So remember to keep those clothes aside! xxx

U.O.X. Party!
We're really excited about this party because Kuala Lumpur is going to be transformed into a massive arena for different creative activities from November all the way through to January! Our social calendars just got more exciting ;) Called U.O.X Play by Celcom, the first in this series of events will be launched on the 15th of November at Cap Square - that's next Saturday!
