Postcard from: Bangkok
After analyzing the daily street style and partaking in unadulterated shopping at the plentiful outlets Bangkok had to offer, I took the time to collect my thoughts and reflect on my experience. To sum it up simply, Bangkok has been extremely kind in ensuring that my virginal trip there was thrilling and filled with great memories. Here I share some nifty finds - tips and tricks, about the city I've gleaned from this trip.

Where to Shop: Bangkok – for the First Timers! (BK)
In the days leading up to my arrival at Bangkok, I seeked out shopping advice from colleagues and friends, and not to play the part of the company shoe shiner, but this very website too (see related articles)! The previous posts by Tin and Eliza were extremely helpful in giving an idea as well as personal insight into Bangkok. Hence, since a good deed must be returned, here is my take on the Bangkok shopping scene!

Where & Wear: Bangkok Street Snaps
To talk about Bangkok is to talk about one of the most fashion-forward cities in the Southeast Asian region. Home of the stylish threads at cheap prices, my first trip to Bangkok would prove to be an eye-opening experience. My peepers were wide opened at the amount of sights the city had to offer - not to discount the landscaped parks and architecture, but it was the teeming street-style that had my unwavering and unblinking attention.

The Creator of Beautiful Legs

Shoes, shoes, shoes – women just can’t get enough of them. Viewing all the posts of Charles & Keith on Tongue in Chic – I felt like one unlucky fashionista who can only purchase a pair of C&K if I fly to cities which carry the brand. But the world is fair and my aching will be appeased when I head of to Stella Luna - one of China’s leading shoe makers who have branded themselves “the creator of beautiful legs.”
Bangkok Street Style #1
Thanks to contributor Michelle Pong who introduced us to her friend in Bangkok, Poe, who’s taken some street style pictures for us in his home city. Kudos to him for taking photographs of Thais who make posing look seemingly effortless.

A Family Affair
The girls behind the label Sretsis prove that artistic talent is in fact, the product of nature as opposed to nurture. Founded in 2002, the label is the incestous lovechild of three Thai siblings with a passion for both fashion and the business of style. The designer of the pack, Pim Sukhahuta, studied at the prestigious Parsons School of Design in New York but started the label during her first year of studies. For the Spring Summer 08 collection, Pim managed to revive the romance of the mile high club and combine it with a Mary Tyler Moore allure, as if she was a jet setting groupie of the 1970s.
