The first Chic POP: Street Market was an event where established brands shared the same stage with little known (but upcoming) shops in a fun, relaxed shopping atmosphere. When it comes to fashion, life is usually slightly more problematic if you’re not predisposed to tall genes. Most fashion labels usually go down the Western route and if you’re Asian and not one of the lucky tall ones, this usually results in enough excess fabric on jeans and skirts to make a whole new piece! Taking note of this gap in the market for smaller-framed girls, Melbourne-based fashion graduate Dawn Foo decided to provide a solution to this issue by starting her own clothing line that has an emphasis on petite frames called Fooism.

Originally trained in ophthalmology, Dr. Alice Prethima sure is a long way from her original course of study. The Aesthetic Physician, Cosmetic Surgeon and Anti-Aging and Total Wellness Specialist runs two centers in Klang and Bangsar where she consults patients on their nutrition, and general health and wellness. She also holds certification in non-invasive procedures such as breast enhancement and Botox.
