DIY: Pearl Frame Sunnies
I was surfing Chictopia a couple of weeks ago and I stumbled across a picture of this girl donning a pearl frame sunnies. Ever since that day, I wanted one and today (since it was so hard to find a good, cheap pair) , I finally made a version of my own. Interested in knowing how?

DIY: Ripped Leggings
Ripped leggings have been around and selling in stores and blogshop for a decent amount of time now (with no sight of slowing down). So, if you would like to have your priceless touch to the "ripped" effect, here's one tutorial for you!

DIY: Panel Bodycon Skirt
A couple of weeks ago I pinky promised that I would come up with a DIY tutorial on paneled bodycon skirt, provided I was blessed with awesome sewing skills. Turns out you do not need the sewing capability of a seamstress, as long as you have patience and Father Time loves you. This tutorial is fairly simple; it involves a lot of cutting and patching panels of fabric back together.

DIY: Scrunchie Bib
The other day when I was reading an article on Style Bubble and how she paired her scrunchies up with her shoes to prevent it from slipping off- and since then i couldnt help but to think of "scrunchie". I was messing around with the idea and here's something I did -to prevent the "scarf falling from your neck" moments. Hope you'll enjoy this one!

DIY: Bodycon Skirt
Herve Leger of Max Azria gave birth to a new trend with his body conscious designs. Donned by women with curvaceous bodies to boot, these bodycon apparels are meant to flaunt the junk in the trunk. Since I've always liked how it looks, I decided to make a bodycon skirt myself out of an old velvet, maxi skirt. It’s fairly easy, with a basic sewing kit paired with a basic knowledge of maneuvering the sewing machine.

DIY: How to Create a Tie-dye Bleach Tee
Although shoulders may be all about the 80's - padded for extra statement, we've seen a reemergence of 60's hippie flair in the rise of tie-dyed and bleached tee-shirts. If you've been wanting to take a crack at the trend but haven't a clue on where to start, look no further because our regular contributor Jessica Ling has created an easy-peasy tutorial on how you can discover this look, right in the comforts of your home!

DIY: How To Make Your Own Shoulder Pads
Before we turn up our noses at this pillar of 80’s style, here’s a fact; shoulder pads are back. Thanks to Balenciaga and Balmain, ladies of that era are now rejoicing the comeback of structured shoulders. If you’re a 90’s child like me, you may be cringing at the resurrection of this fad. I used to think that shoulder pads were like wings on a plane, and women who wore them had personal space issues. But fret not, shoulder pads are back smaller, bolder and edgier, with the sole purpose of tricking onlookers into thinking you have a tapered silhouette. Small waists, anyone?

DIY: How to Make Your Own Body-Chain
You might have seen them all over the fashion blog arena as well as in editorial shoots, but you can't find it anywhere in the market, well at least not in Malaysia. Body chains are basically necklaces for the body that are usually worn by belly dancers, but Bliss Lau's impressive collection of body chains might have produced a fad.

DIY Fringe
I was surfing on Lookbook when I spotted this pretty wicked DIY fringe collar top made by Trang from Florida. It led me wanting to post about it, which led me to adding a few more pictures from other Lookbookers who have posted their fringe fetish. Click to view how fringe has evolved from being on boots, bags and vests!

DIY Saturday: Scarf Meets Tank
In case you've been living under a gaudy shell, you would've noticed that drapes are the answer to saving a boring wardrobe. Nicolas Ghesquière's sari-inspired collection for Balenciaga is tailored ephemeral, Alber Elbaz enlightens the mundanely tedious with a sprinkle of draped detailing on daily fundamentals, and Riccardo Tisci ignites awe with a fitted meet of drapes and draft. To save ourselves a hefty designer's price, we're going to reinvent the basic tank to fit this season's trend.

DIY Saturday: That Shredded Tee

We all have it, that basic buy of an essential piece. We've all done it, splurge on every color available. We've all been guilty of it, neglecting that same piece that we thought we needed on a daily basis. How often do you really wear that basic tee in your cluttered closet, the one design bought on repeat in black, blue, yellow, white and heck, even in fuschia? Instead of letting such basic wonders go to waste, here's a simple project that even your littlest niece or friendly cat could enjoy.
DIY Saturday: Eco-Chic Cuffs
In conjunction with the launch of Earth Hour happening today, let's take a look with ways we can be fashion conscious and eco-chic at the same time. There's a high chance that if you're reading TiC, you already have fashion magazines at home. Let's turn those into some fashionable wrist cuffs - and the best bit is that you have 100% creative control!

DIY Saturday: The Shirtdress

Men don't understand the importance of being earnest. Fashion-earnest, that is. To convey this importance to them, I've come up with a tutorial especially involving the men in our lives... or at least the shirt off their backs.
DIY Saturday: Crop Top/Cape
I have a thing for jackets, blazers, scarves, capes, all those unpractical items of clothing for our very hot Malaysian weather. They never fail to make an outfit look more finished and put-together. Today I happened to notice my housemate taking out some of his old t-shirts to donate, and I sneaked a few back into my room to see if I could get creative with them. Take a look at what I did to this very boring, very unhip oversized t-shirt!
