    Aesop Black Label Range

Aesop celebrates its 25-year anniversary with the release of its Black Label haircare range. This is especially symbolic as Aesop began 25 years ago with the very range of hair and scalp care products it continued sell up until this month.

The Black Label range is made up of five categories, each with a matching conditioner – calming, colour protect (sulphate-free), equalising, nurturing, volumising.

The launch is timely as formulas across the industry have undergone extensive overhauls to reconsider the use of sulphates, parabens, glycols and volumising ingredients containing gluten. This is due in part to the change in consumer and lifestyle demands and new discoveries in pharmacology which have found their way into the cosmetics industry.

Aesop is neither a fully natural nor organic brand. They only claim to work with ingredients that deliver results, which in this case, includes its famous sensory experience. The products in the range cater for a variety of hair and scalp concerns including chemically abused, thin hair, sensitive scalp and hair washed daily. “We’re not here to judge your lifestyle choices, we’re here to support it,” said Suzanne Santos during the launch of the range.

The Black Label range is part of the permanent collection and will replace existing shampoo and conditioner formulas.
