Omorose Cosmetics made waves during the Cannes Film Festival 2017 in France recently, showering the stars at the prestigious festival with their homegrown vegan beauty product –  Lip Dressing, a cruelty-free lip balm.

Launched in 2014, Terry Liau, founder of Omorose Cosmetics, believes in providing access to cruelty-free and vegan beauty products for everyone. As such, Omorose Cosmetics is free of animal products, ensures its retail counters are wheelchair-friendly, and incorporates Braille in its product packaging, making it truly inclusive for everyone. On top of inclusivity, quality and safety are also paramount in Omorose Cosmetics’ products, utilising only natural preservatives where necessary, and keeping out nasties such as parabens and phenoxyethanol, phthalates and mineral oil.

Having been part of the awards circuit, first with the Golden Globe® Awards in 2015 and 2016, the Malaysian brand caught the attention of the Dubois Pelin & Associates’ (DPA) Gifting Lounge organising committee, which then extended an invitation for the brand to share its products at the recently-concluded 2017 Cannes Film Festival.

The Lip Dressing vegan lip balm comes in two varieties: the clear balm creates a dewy glass effect, while the pigmented balm adds a hint of colour to lips. The balms are enriched with coconut oil, avocado oil, argan oil and Vitamin E, to nourish and protect dry lips, gliding on easily and leaving more than a hint of sheer colour (for the pigmented balm). Its oval packaging (versus the traditional round) also enables on-the-go application without making a mess.

In six yummy shades all corresponding to different flavours, the product can also be layered under lipstick or gloss. Available in Watermelon, Raspberry Smoothie, Clear Citrus Punch, Crème Brulee,  Strawberry Sorbet, Tropical Paradise and Chocolate Bon Bons for RM40 each, and are available via its online store at and at select retail counters in the Klang Valley, such as TANGS Malaysia (One Utama and Empire Subang); Parkson (Sunway Pyramid, Sunway Velocity Mall, and MyTOWN Shopping Centre); as well as at its newest counter in Parkson Elite, Pavilion.
