On our radar this week:
#1 KKW x Kylie Cosmetics
Kylie Jenner roped in her sister Khloe Kardashian to collaborate on the Koko Collection of lip glosses for her beauty label Kylie Cosmetics last November and it was a matter of time before big sister Kim Kardashian, (aka KKW on account of her husband’s last name) would make an appearance. (After all, we’ve witnessed firsthand how Kylie has slowly been transforming herself into a Kim doppelgänger.)
Kylie confirmed the collab with KKW on Instagram, announcing that she will be dropping a new nude lip kit. Kylie’s products have been quick to sell out ever since she launched her range of matte lip colours. We expect these will go quickly too. No launch date has been announced but here’s a teaser from Kylie’s Insta.
IMPORTANT: The only place to buy legit Kylie Cosmetics products is the official website.
Rihanna stole the show at Coachella wearing a crystal bodysuit from Alessandro Michele’s Gucci Fall/Winter 2017 runway. Styled by Jaheel Weaver, the look, reminiscent of Daft Punk‘s full-face helmets and blinged out suits, features a Gucci tank top, denim cutoff shorts, gem-studded sunglasses, and Fenty x Puma platform boots. To bling or not to bling was clearly not a question Bad Gal Riri would ask, although we do have to wonder if this outfit reflects the inner paradox that celebrities face: Attention-Seeking Anonymity?
#3 Gaga’s Star is Born
On a more substantial front, Lady Gaga debuted her brand-new single, “The Cure” at Coachella weekend, following an announcement about filming the remake of the Barbra Streisand movie, A Star Is Born. Gaga revealed a first-glimpse shot on Instagram:
I am so excited to star in my first movie alongside someone I’m so lucky to call my friend. I always wanted to be an actress on the big screen. The story of “A Star is Born” is so special and I’m so grateful to Bradley for making my dream come true. Can’t wait for you to meet Ally. She has her first scene in 5….⏰
Lady Gaga has also composed original songs for A Star Is Born, while co-star Bradley Cooper will make his directorial debut with this film, which tells the story of a movie star struggling with alcoholism as he attempts to help a singer-actress wannabe. The movie is set to premier September 28, 2018. Meanwhile, shots of an on-screen snog has made its way to the interwebs.
