U.O.X. Play
We blogged about the Chic Charity sale we were going to have at U.O.X. Play at Capsquare, and how we'd take donated clothes from girls to sell at RM5-15 a piece whereby all money goes to WAO (Women's Aid Organisation). What a success the first one was (Yes, we're continuing this)!

People dropped off clothes at the office, and someone donated a box so huge and heavy, I took a couple of minutes just to push it to the side. Got the Freeform guys to help after that! We're amazed at the variety of clothes people passed on - from sun dresses and baju kurung sets, to chiffon tops and silk skirts. After sorting out through so many pieces, we puzzled momentarily over a particular 'tube dress' before realizing it was a bolster case :p

One woman's trash is indeed another woman's treasure. At times we were so busy we didn't stop working for a couple of hours i.e. no bathroom runs or food!
The flea market at U.O.X. Play was organised by our friends from Threadszoo, who collaborated with us. Evevon and I took turns to take a quick browse through the vendors' goods, to satiate the shopaholic in us.

Shirts for RM20

French For Incredible

There was a vendor selling a huge array of junk food and vintage clothing. Turns out it was Lah'Lah'Land who organised a flea market in Hartamas.

I found myself armed with their RM5-10 vintage scarves (one of which I wore for the Chic CODE: Pop Art party) and floral dresses for RM25.

Footwear for him...

And of course, for her...

It was nice to finally meet Ami from The Shoplifters, whom TiC did an interview with in October.

Singer Camelia incidentally wearing Xpax colour purple and keeping it undercover with her shades on, and Quickie host Henry.

Back to the Chic Charity booth, Evevon and I returned from our individual breaks nonchalantly lugging our shopping with us.

I'll leave you with some fringe bags we bought separately (luckily we didn't get the same ones)...

And her fringe boots... seems there's a fringe frenzy!

At the end of the day, we totaled up money raised to over RM1,300! Not bad for a charity sale where the most expensive piece of clothing is RM15! Thanks to everyone who donated clothes (especially those anonymous ones!), bought clothes and helped out at the booth. We'll let you guys know VERY soon when our next one is so you can clear out your closet and raise cash for WAO at the same time!
