Estée Lauder Signature Services are offered in over 47 countries at more than 3,000 counters, but not many people are aware of these free customised services for skincare, cosmetics and fragrances. We discovered these special Signature Services at the Estée Lauder counter in Pavilion last week.

Angela from Harper's Bazaar, with Joyce and me from Tongue in Chic

We were invited to snack on canapés and punch at Zang Toi Café while watching a video presentation on Estée Lauder Signature Services. After that we proceeded downstairs to the make-up counter where their beauty advisors tailor the services to our individual needs.

There are 6 services provided:

Skin Check-Up - To recommend products that target specific concerns. I was told my pores could be improved greatly and got recommended the Idealist Pore Minimizing Skin Refinisher

Skin Brightening Solutions - Products to keep skin bright and clear

Your Shade, Your Finish, Your Match - The right foundation can be found using the iMatch Color Stystem chart, to know if I had a cool, warm or neutral skin undertone. The chart has different cool and warm brown transparencies and observing which swatch blends in perfectly with the colour on my jaw determined my perfect shade.

Expert Color Advice - Once my shade was found using the iMatch Color System, I was shown a separate chart of makeup colours that best complemented my skin tone.

Two Minute Touch-Ups - A favourite of Estée Lauder herself, it's a quick fix proving that just a touch of makeup makes all the difference in the world. The artist applied some quick colour to my eyes, lips and cheeks, using the colours recommended from the former services.

Fall 2008 Must-Haves
- Discover new products from Estée Lauder, personalised for you. I tried the products, smelled the new fragrances, and asked silly questions :)

In case you've forgotten what I mentioned earlier, this is all complimentary. All you have to do is pop by any of the Estée Lauder counters nationwide and ask for assistance.
