One might recall her as “the girl who was on that MTV show” (The Hills, to be more precise) or if you're a regular of fashion magazines and gossip rags, you would definitely have heard affirmations of Conrad as one of Hollywood’s fast rising It girls and a fashionable trend-setter at that.

Conrad incorporates flower-bombarded hair-bands to give her show a girly and retro spin.
Conrad may be slammed for being “just another reality TV star”, but her real passion for fashion designing is to the point where she is ready to quit television to focus entirely on her design career. Sold at more than a hundred boutiques as well as major departmental stores such as Bloomingdale’s in the United States (overseas fans: fear not! You can browse and purchase at her online boutique www.shoplaurenconrad.com), Conrad is already making plans to expand internationally from early 2009 onwards.

In her Spring 2009 collection, Conrad continues to do what she does best: simple and yet utterly sexy cuts that are amazingly versatile.
Her latest spring collection was showcased at the recent LA Mercedes Benz Fashion Week. Her line is best summed up as being reminiscent of the carefree and sunshine Los Angeles fashion, with a little bit of sophistication thrown in.

Initially, she has mostly been throwing out many pastel colours into her collection, but with the new Spring 2009 line, she is seen to have experimented with flower imprints and more vibrant colours, in addition to sexier silhouettes.

Flowery imprints and leg-baring skirts—Conrad definitely has properly trained her eyes on trends that will be popular in the upcoming season of spring.

As Conrad took her bow at the end of her runway show, she was shining with confidence because that little dream of a fashion career of hers has no doubt taken off in the most successful streak ever seen.
PS: While the Lauren Conrad Collection may only available via online for those in the Asian region, you can easily scour similar finds at Forever 21 and H&M while waiting for the collection to debut overseas.
