TiC x Reebok Freestyle Contest! 12 PAIRS To Give Away!

One of the most recognisable 80s fashion item of all time has undergone a facelift, if you hadn't already noticed. Noted as one of contributor Jessica's past TiC Picks, the Reebok Freestyle was originally a low-top before being redesigned into a hi-top in the mid 80s.

Back then, the popularity of the Reebok Freestyle spread to cult status due to its design, comfort and support during physical activity. Of course, its popularity spread further with frequent use for walking, bodybuilding, dance and cheerleading by various personalities. The Los Angeles Laker Girls were sponsored Freestyle hi-tops in the late 80s, and other dancers and cheerleading teams followed suit by sporting them as well. Even my mum had a pair when I was a wee one!

This year, Reebok relaunched their Freestyle with a City collection and managed to pull onboard some of the most celebrated fashion icons in 2008 to represent their respective city shoes - Tokyo, Paris, New Delhi, Madrid, London and New York.

Reebok pulled on Spanish singer and model Bimba Bose, popalicious French singer Yelle, Japanese cheerleader Ai Yasuda, DJ Nikki Beatnik, Indian actress Sagarika Gatge, and Brit supermodel Agyness Deyn.

Freestyle Paris, Tokyo, New Delhi, Madrid and London launched globally throughout the first half of the year with the most recent one being Freestyle London in September. Final city Freestyle to be launched is Freestyle New York, which will be released next month in November!

In conjunction with it, Tongue in Chic and Reebok are coming together to give away 12 pairs in total!

The contests are so easy... I almost wish I wasn't working for TiC so I could win a pair myself >.<

Based on the three pictures below (and yes, those are the pairs we are giving away, three pairs of each too!), simply pick the picture of the pair you like most, and write how you'd rock up in them. That's it!

Goodness! I can't stop looking at all of them. You guys even have Aggie's which isn't even released yet. The taxi/new york theme's striking, but I cannot get enough of the first picture. The clashing colours on the plain canvas come together wonderfully, and I really love the petal detailling bit, different in both shoes! Give me the shoes! (I don't mind all 3 pairs actually :P) I'll wear it everywhere; Reeboks are comfotable and durable even put in the worst situations (from experience). I'll need something to last me a long time (and my feet too) when I go for my little shopping adventures across cities or abroad. I travel to shop and I need a companion. Number 1's my choice :)

Picture 3 is amazing!! Those kicks are so hot! I would rock them with anything and everything I own! I've recently tried getting my hands on as many pairs of brightly colored boks as I can, but...since I'm broke...that equals one pair! Ha! These are the best I've seen - the Tokyo ones are a close second, though. I love the bright colors with the black contrast! I could go on forever about how much I love those kicks...it's hurting my heart to not have them! haha

Picture 1 is hot too, but picture 3 I just can't stop looking at! I want those shoes! I've never seen that style before anywhere online!

I had never visited your site before, but for some reason I found it on the day the contest started...I think those shoes want me just as bad as I want them! It's fate for me to have those AMAZING kicks.

I like the pair in the first picture. For a night out in the city, I'd rock them with a simple LBD with lots of bangles in gold/copper, whereas for a more simple/relaxed day for a picnic or anything at all, I'd team them with torn faded denim shorts and a boyfriend tee to make the shoes look even more unique :)

the shoes i pick are the the one in picture 1

i would pair those rocking shoes with a simple white tee and white casual shorts, with a medium size old school sling bag over the shoulder, and maybe a long necklace to finish the look.

This pairing is really suitable for a day out either for shopping with my girlfriends, to college or even just to walk out of the house to show of the shoes! (such a waste to keep it in the shelf)

reasons that i choose such a simple palate is because i want to shoes to have all the attention. Also, the white blouse and short is very hip hop too! Its like heading to a p daddy white party but breaking the rules pairing with a techny colour reedok shoes.....

I would wear these kicks with Jeremy Scott's Sneakers dress and a V for Vendetta mask to a ghazal performance and chicken dance to it. Anarchy!

I love the Reebok Freestyle in Picture 1. But frankly I'm not too fussy, they are all grrr-some. Size 8/39 please! :P

Whether in shorts, mini skirts or rolled up jeans, I would definitely rock up in them with my long pair of legs and be shine anywhere at the market, bazaars, shopping malls or even waiting in line to buy movie tickets!!!

They're all nice BUT
Picture 2. Too accident scene.
Picture 3. Black & pink combo too hackneyed.

Which is why I LOVE Picture 1!! I'm really liking the pop colours. I remember seeing a picture of Gemma Ward in a pair of Nike high tops with the same shade of blue and yellow on a white body (the shoe. Not Gemma Ward). And ever since then, I've really wanted a pair of high tops with those colours! But hard to find la. Even in Bangkok with their far superior collection for sneakerheads.

For a night out (or whatever), I'd wear this sequined beret (http://www.topshop.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?beginIndex=0&viewAllFlag=&catalogId=19551&storeId=12556&productId=779620&langId=-1&categoryId=&parent_category_rn=&cmpid=NL_wk07) that I saw in Topshop (still wondering if I should get it cause MYR72 is pretty steep for a stupid hat!) with my latex body con (http://store.americanapparel.co.uk/rsac343.html#i) dress. And a little bit of the requisite bling. Simple but it'll do cause I'm gonna let the shoes do the talking.

Where would I wear them to? ANYWHERE.
What would I do? ANYTHING.

I just wanna make the boyfriend jealous.

I would rock Reebok number 3 in a yellow micro mini tennis skirt with a plunging neckline chiffon halter-neck, just sheer enough to portray a sex kitten on the court! Of course, my hair would be pulled back to give that preppy look and this way, you would look good playing the game or just look good looking at other players.

For a night out, I would love to wear Reebok with a black tank top and a big, baggy, grey harem trousers. Of course, a fashionista wouldnt leave the house without accessorizing! Bring in the head piece and a vintage fedora if u must and splash the whole tub of glitter before head out to party!

Reebok girls are dynamic, you'll see. :)

i badly want these shoes and i doubt i`ll ever get the money to buy them so this is how i`m gonna get them by writing a long crazy ass essay just to get them .
i`ll wear them anywhere and everywhere well whenever the occasion calls for it of course ,
i`m picturing loose droopy high japanese school girl socks , a mini , and just a plain white crossback tank top from MNG .. hell yeah i`m gonna rock it
a dress with these shoes and i`ll be rocking
i`ll wear these shoes to the basketball court just so that the guys can be jealous
even if i were to wear this shoes and ONLY this shoes yea its gonna look hot ..
if i get caught for walking around naked and was to be put into jail for it , i would rock the shoes in prison then
and if i were to go to court , i would rock these shoes to court
with prison clothes for that matter
and when i`m released, i`m gonna rock these shoes outta prison
with my head held high because i have some kick ass shoes
since i`ll be going to sarawak next year for holiday
i`m gonna use this reeboks to climb MT Kinabalu i swear
how hot will that be ?
and they say MT Kinabalu can be freezing cold , i`ll be the hottest thing there ;)

still it`ll be dam hot

i choose picture 3. i'd definitely do 2 things in it:
No.1 go shopping in it. it's comfy and most of all so funky and outstanding.Could literally shop till i drop without a single muscle ache.Won't all the other people just simply die in envy when they see my shoes??
No.2 CLubbing..Instead of the high killer stiletto(as in leg killer stiletto), that cool pair of shoes would suffice. dance moves could be more extreme and surely i could be all hyped out the whole night without straining my legs.who knows?i might be the trend setter for all clubbers.

i'd pair it with a mini skirt or shorts.and maybe a short sporty hoodie dress.the idea of it is to make sure the shoes are noticed easily. Who wouldn't want to flaunt such amazing shoes??

to be honest i think all the shoes are very trendy and very nice design. But i liked the Picture 2: even that it is used in the toilet!!! :P :P Picture 2: have the most contrast that really catch my eyes. And the yellow colored shoe really stands out in the picture. For Picture 1: and Picture 3: the shoes doesn't portray as the main focus, in other words its not the "HERO" in the pictures. Thats my opinion. Tq.

p/s: does the cat faced bag is for giveaway? :P :P (just joking)

I'd say I've been wanting a pair of high tops and I love Reebok!

Anyway, I can't wait to wear the pair in Pic 1 with dark blue footed tights with a short dress. And I'd love to wear them anywhere anytime but I think it'll be perfect for cheerleading just because Reebok is always so comfortable and these shoes are just kickass!
