TiC Pick: Shiny Ruffled Kicks

As the SS 09 season floods us with more shoes that we could ever hope to assess one by one, many fabulously designed shoes slip between the gap of our fashion-weary eyes. But the 3.1 Philip Lim shoes from his SS 09 collection (a collaboration between Philip and Christian Louboutin) were just too delightfully ruffled, mussed up, and layered to perfection for us to miss.
With just the right amount of OTT-ness incorporated into a metallic finish with multiple straps and a sky high heel, this is the daring shoe to inject personality into an everyday tailored suit or floral dress. Sure beats the Prada ruffled shoe any day. [Joyce: i feel backlash coming from Prada-worshiopping Evevon...]
The yearn it evoked in us for more metallic ruffled goodies brought us to discover the Steve Madden Ruffles Platform retailing for $99.95. That, and the fact that the Philip Lim shoes are so hot off the catwalk that they’re still not in stock anywhere.
It satisfies every single criteria of our search…except for the fact that the ruffles are much less 'out there'. But I guess that’s what we call toning it down for real life, no?
