It's pretty tough to find a vintage store in Singapore. Apart from the odd charity shop, true vintage stores are few and far between. So, when I caught wind of a store tucked away in the heart of Chinatown, I had to visit it in order to believe that it was there. In the midst of a row of shophouses, I located Dustbunny Vintage, the amazing treasure trove manned by Pia.

I've met Pia a couple of times at flea markets, and have always loved the vintage bags she sells. I discovered Dustbunny Vintage by accident, after entering my email address on her mailing list.

I've had a certain hunch that the items found in Dustbunny Vintage will be perfect, but it really did not dawn on me that there were so many gems to be found! She has bags which date back to the 30s, and a vast collection of vintages dresses in perfect condition.

Red and white velvet dress - emitting supreme vibes of Alice in Wonderland!

Multi-colored print dress.

Black see-through dress with lace bodice - perfect for a cocktail party

Polka-dot dress suit and jacket with bow detail

Apart from delectable dresses, you'll be able to find statement bags, shoes and accessories in Dustbunny Vintage. I spied a Mexican bag which appeared the very next day on Anna Sui's Spring/Summer 2009 collection.

Speaking to Pia was also extremely enjoyable. She has vast knowledge when it comes to collecting vintage items, and I didn't hesitate to ask about her experience in setting up a vintage store in Singapore. She shared that bags were usually the biggest draw, and I certainly can attest to it having bought a bag from her store a year ago. The bags of Dustbunny Vintage are definitely for keeps, as they are of top-notch quality for vintage bags.

For visitors to Singapore who are keen on experiencing a shopping trip to Dustbunny Vintage, you'll be able to find the store at:
15A Temple Street
#02-01

As the store is only open at selected hours, it's a must to e-mail store owner Pia first, to set an appointment. You'll be able to reach her at: pia@dustbunnyvintage.com

Have a great time vintage shopping on my behalf! :)

I have the vintage telephone sling bag in white - I actually used it as a handbag for some time as it can hold loads of stuff. In the UK it was recently on an antiques programme at £295.
