RIP YSL

As some of you may have already known, Yves Saint Laurent passed away at the age of 71 on Sunday. Widely hailed as one of the greatest designers of the 20th century, he had many fans among which was Catherine Deneuve, who was always to be seen at his shows (pictured above backstage with the designer).
Saint Laurent was probably best known for inventing the tuxedo for women, known as “Le Smoking,” first introduced in 1966. It was considered quite the provocative statement at that time and it has gone on to influence many fashion designers till this day.
I wont go on with an epitaph as plenty has been written (and much better tributes at that) about this man in the news but if it isn’t too morbid, I’d like to say RIP.
