Our lovely friends at Shopaholics Unite! will be having a stall under Tongue in Chic. I talk to Shopaholic Leng on how they’re faring with preparations.
What will Shopaholics Unite! be selling at Urbanscapes, can we view them beforehand online?
We’re carting our entire online store there and more! You’ll be seeing some of the stuff online before the big day. The number of things you see beforehand will largely depend on how much time we spend playing with Polyvore than using the said time to update the blog, more or less!
What’s exciting you most about Urbanscapes?
Shop shop shop!!! We’re really quite frantically looking for kind friends to volunteer their services to man our stall on that day so we can go shopping ourselves! Oh, er, should we at least try to act less like a shopaholic and more cultured? Ok, change answer, we’ll be browsing the art and music area to see if there’s anything to buy there.
Babe, you’ve already named your shopping business Shopaholics Unite… Don’t think you can maintain your reputation anymore! Where can your customers find you on that day?
Unless our very kind friend volunteers, we’ll most likely be lurking behind the mounds of clothes at our stall, manning our own booth as we should.
Any other surprises you have in store for the people going? No pressure!
We wanted to do this cool thing where we can go up to the top floor and like, throw a whole bunch of our RM20 shopping vouchers through the air down into the marketplace and we imagine there will be people jumping and grabbing it mid-air like it’s a million dollars. But then we remembered, oh yeah, you’re in charge of giving away our vouchers. Maybe you can consider letting us do that instead? Oh, we have another 100 more vouchers on top of the 200 we’ve pledged for you to give away. So that’s kinda like a surprise, right?
You’ve got some crazy going on in there, I love it. Well it’s not a surprise since it’s going up TIC now! What do you Shopaholics fancy at the moment?
We are liking chunky chunky shoes! We don’t know why since it really doesn’t look that great on us, but we’re nevertheless approaching it carefully.
What’s your current obsession?
Environmentally-friendly shopping bags! We’re pretty close to bringing a whole bunch into our store very soon! That also means we’ll be keeping a few of each in every colour for our own use, of course.
Hey… did you know Tiny Tapir’s selling some on that day too? Looks like you definitely need your friend to help man your stall for a bit now. Else how are you going to run around and shop?
