Eco Fashion: Nyla Noor

Filed In Blog by karen wong | Comments: 2 | Views: 417

As much as I hate the mistreatment of animals or try to avoid wearing all things formerly breathing and moving, I still have a soft spot for leather. Whatever green agenda that one might believe in, when it comes to the perfect leather jacket, or boots, there's no stopping the appeal of buttery, warm and soft attire goodness. However, there's the issue of want versus maintaining ethics when it comes to the divisive material. So when the offer arose on eco-conscious leather handbags, I was ready to make exceptions! Introducing Nyla Noor - a new handbag line that promises a friendlier way of producing leather goods.

After toiling away at their corporate banking jobs, sisters Romaana and Saifra Zia decided to leave it all and pursue their life-long dream of being fashion designers. With the emphasis on healthy and alternative approach to fashion, the sisters studied many different methods of applying eco-conscious ethics to leather. Finally, their hard work paid off with the creation of Nyla Noor, an all-international brand that though is based in USA, draws inspiration from Spain, Pakistan, Buenos Aires, Paris and Tokyo.

Their first collection consists of 4 different bag styles. Each bag is designed using eco-friendly leather, which have been vegetable tanned using only natural extracts in processing. Even the inside lining is made out of 100% organic cotton.

And here those PETA extremists, keep crowing on about the evilness of leather! All styles are available in Sangria red and Caviar black with the price ranging between the middle to high hundreds. For more information, please head to www.nylanoor.com.

yes but they don't claim to be animal friendly. they claim to be environmentally friendly, which they are. there is a huge difference between the two.
