Chic Pop: Street Market 2 (KL)
You came, you saw and hopefully you had tons of fun; we know we certainly did! The second installment of the Chic Pop: Street Market finally went down last weekend and it was an event that mixed shopping and style against a backdrop of music, ice-cream and karmic pleasures.
This time around, there were 42 vendors who sold a range of pre-loved, vintage and new items for both guys and girls. Funky accessories and studded bags were amongst the wares sold during the day, and if the happy faces were any indication it seems a fair few of you got your hands on some killer items!

The action was divided between the foyer, Zouk mainroom and Velvet, and at all points of the day, all three areas were swamped with people searching for great buys.
Things Eye Made which featured great handmade jewellery from Foon was a big draw amongst the crowd with her dainty creations.

The ladies of WEAREULTRA craftily added arrows on the floor at Velvet that showed customers the way to their stall.

The vintage-inspired bags from UsUsUsClothing were a big draw with the ladies and though Yus here looks highly unapproachable, he's actually rather friendly in real life!

Calvin Cheong from AvantGOD and The Stylisté fame sold vintage accessories and edgy clothes that befit the urban female warrior.

Petite Lass not only sold a wide range of clothes for the smaller-sized females but they also had a number of vintage briefcases for sale.

Radio DJ, Jules from FlyFM opened a stall that had a rather neat concept as stated in the name. I can't help but wonder how this kind of payment concept would work amongst the Malaysian crowds who are notorious for hunting down a good bargain. Reverse psychology at its best, perhaps?

An Old Flame served up new stock that left shoppers in a frenzy.

Wheel Love sold guys clothes as well as skate gear to enthusiastic males. Even if you didn't find anything to suit your needs, there were free stickers for everyone too.

Tongue in Chic had two stalls going on. One was the Tongue in Chic Regional Picks where we sold select items we had sourced ourselves from overseas.

The other was Chic Charity, our pet charity project where we resell donated clothes with all proceeds being given to Women's Aid Organization.

For those whose wallets needed a break from the shopping, the HitzFM Cruisers were on hand to liven up the day with free swag and fun activities.

Did you remember to sign up and collect the free Simple facial wipes we were giving out?

Right next to the S.W.A.G. area was a Yahoo booth, where visitors at Chic Pop: Street Market 2 could hunt for a blue ticket that would grant them free movie tickets to 2012 as well as entrance to the grand Youreka! by Yahoo party on the 25th of November.

There were also yummy gelato from Lecka-Lecka that helped cool down flustered shoppers. Did you know the correct way to eat the gelato is actually to scrape at it? And here I was digging away as if I were plumbing for oil!

Outside at Terrace Bar, ladies (and some gentlemen) waited patiently to get their nails done and fortune read. The afternoon downpour ensured that the area stayed nice and cool - the perfect hangout spot for many.

This day simply would not have been that awesome-tastic if not for your presence. Hence, thank you to all who took time out from their weekend to visit the Chic Pop: Street Market 2. Do stay tuned for any future events we might have down the road!
