New on The Block: Lena Erziak
As little girls, growing up in a multi-cultural family of artists (mum's a seamstress and dad is a potter), Belgian-Moroccan sisters Leona and Hasna Erziak always dreamt of starting their own handbag line. Over the years, they have nourished their interest and sensibilities through their travels and collected ideas and visuals along the way.
After their experiences in styling French celebrities, decorating Riads in Marrakech and traveling around the world, the Erziak sisters finally took another step forward by unveiling their new line, Lena Erziak - a collection of creative and unique handbags for Spring 10.
Far from being describes as simply trendy, Lena Erziak handbags are characterized by a timeless sophisticated and elegance. The series speak to all women who seek elegance in their quotidian and appreciate refined and luxurious simplicity.
The bags are all handmade in Italy and only the finest materials and crafts are used. The meticulousness of Italian artisans as well as their attention to detail when working with leather and choosing skins, was indispensable to the designs.
There's a great deal of attention on both interior and exterior finish. There is also a signature tassel marking each bags.
The Spring 10 collection consists of 15 styles in total and it marks the beginning of the sisters’ creative journey. Although their price range is a little pricey (US$350 – US$980!), do keep in mind that they only use the finest materials.
