While we're all still waiting patiently for the usual Fashion Weeks to start, including Japan's Spring 2009 season (which begins Sept. 1), Japan Fashion Week (JFW) organized a showcase of some of Japan’s emerging designers—Ato, G.V.G.V., Mercibeaucoup et. al —at the newly opened Japanese-owned boutique Aloha Rag in New York recently, offering the lucky New Yorkers a sample of the different styles which will be presented at JFW.

Meanwhile, Colette recently reopened after undergoing some renovations - also revealing in their new store the Colette X Gap collection. This new range of products will also be found simultaneously in the first Colette concept store in the United States. Our favourite so far? This jacket/ trench coat.

More photos of this collaboration can be found here.
