Playing Stylist: Ribbons
As I previously wrote about ribbons for TiC Surf over here, I thought it would be fun to play with them again for this week’s Playing Stylist! I called upon one of my closest friends, Ching, who is affectionately known as the Queen of Ribbons among us, for her expert assistance too. Here are five looks we put together to embody the flirty femininity of ribbons!
Look 1: A Day in the City

It just so happened that, true to her title, Ching was already wearing bows from her head to toe when I met her at her apartment!
Headband: Alannah Hill
Top: Topshop
Necklace: Chanel
Shorts: Ladakh
Shoes: Salvatore Ferragamo
Look 2: Working Chic
You probably won’t see Miranda Hobbes in ribbons at work, but hey, you can be pretty and professional both at once too.

Headband: Alannah Hill
Top: Padini (Bangsar Village)
Blazer: Bardot
Jeans: Bettina Liano
Shoes: Zara
Look 3: First Date
We kept this one really simple and elegant, contrasting the old school charm of the floral lace with the delicateness of the black and gold ribbon belt. Perfect for an evening out with parental units or for a demure first date.

Dress: Gift from Singapore
Belt: Bangkok
Shoes: Salvatore Ferragamo
Look 4: Minty Fresh
Ching had these awesome pair of green shorts she didn’t know what to wear with, so we styled it up a bit with a gorgeous ribbon top and a matching green scarf tied as a bag accessory.

Top: Mooie Boutique (Bangsar)
Shorts: ASOS
Bag: Louis Vuitton
Scarf: Sportsgirl
Look 5: Dainty Chic
We started this out by pairing her gorgeous pair of lilac Ferragamos with the acid-washed jeans, and the effect was stunning! Topped off with an adorable ribbon beret – this look is perfect for a Spring day in Melbourne.

Beret: Forever New
Top: Topshop
Jeans: ASOS
Shoes: Salvatore Ferragamo
