Arabyrd flaunts it at Topman presents Couple, Killeur Calculateur, Lovesick Avenue and Twinkies
There are sudden uprising of femme-fatale musicians that are not only making a big mark on the music charts but are also rating high on the fashion meters as well. Since we’ve been name-dropping a lot of international personalities like Pixie Lott, La Roux and heaps more, we’ve decided to pull the boat closer to our shores by introducing the spunky, funky and very fashionable ½ of Twinkies, Arabyrd.

Arabyrd has been booming the music scene since she was 15, and her musically orientated family must have honed her talent even further – her mum is the manager of (Malaysian songstress and her cousin) Camelia and dad used to manage Sheila Majid.

Recently back from producing her debut album (to which we’re eagerly awaiting the arrival of), the lady has also ruffled our fringe trimmed boots with her unique and savvy sense of style. And just like her music, Arybyrd style can’t be labeled. She loves colours, has a close relationship with vintage, retro picks and has a knack for layering.

What we admire most about her is her fashion bravado! From a bird perched on her headband to 6 colours at-a-go combo, she seems to pull off almost anything. (Do you think you can pull off a “colour-byrd” yourself? If you could we would love to see it!)

Nominated in Klue magazine's 20 Under 40 list
We talked about her wild hair in our Just-For-Fun Friday: Edgy Hairstyles post

The thing is, we’re not the only ones that’s noticed her current status as a style maven, fashion brand Topman has also included her in their event lineup. So on the 13th of November 09, Zouk will be housing music and fashion lovers alike as Topman presents Couple, Killeur Calculateur, Lovesick Avenue & Twinkies strut their stuff on stage.
Also we have insiders news to tell you, in November Arabyrd together with partner Nadia, will be sprawled on the glossy pages of Junk so remember to keep an eye out for it.
In the meantime, to get yourself pumped up about meeting Arabyrd, check her out over at her Myspace page and read her daily thoughts on her personal blog.
