Raffles Surreal Graduation Fashion Show
Last Tuesday, Joyce and I attended the Raffles International College 22nd graduation fashion show and exhibition at J.W. Marriott Hotel in Kuala Lumpur. The event showcased an array of designs by the graduating students from Fashion Design, Fashion Marketing, Interior Design, Interactive Media and Visual Communication.
At the exhibition, there were some interesting booths which caught my attention. Like this one, do you see flying books? Cos I do! :)
Jack Gan displays all his masterpieces at his booth Popa'Nova.
Kevin Novart with his booth, Silly & Billy. His booth concept was "keeping it simple and elegance aside".
He even came out with this innovative idea of zipping half a shirt to another half of a different shirt.
The Patch booth by Chiky Sierra and Miriam binti Omar won Best Booth.
Kheelers booth by our new intern, Gwen Yeoh, who also won Best Academic Student.
Kheelers is known for having unique and elegant, high quality shoes of many kinds. Sorry ladies, those shoes are not for sale, Joyce tried enquiring about a pair for purchase herself!
After admiring all the booths, we headed to the ballroom to catch the fashion show which kicked off at 8:30pm. The theme for that night was 'surreal' which brings to mind the bizzare, fantastic or dreamlike.
