Martell VSOP Rising Personalities Award (KL)
We've just seen the nominations for the 2009 Martell VSOP Rising Personalities Award and we couldn't help but notice two familiar names whom we've highlighted before. The third installation of the annual Martell Awards, it highlights 10 people who've proved their worth in their field or industry. Who did we spot? None other than Tan Sze Yoong of Sze Accessories and Theresa Thian of Gallo!

We first put the spotlight on her back in 2008, when her fantastic one-off handcrafted designs caught our eye. Fast forward a year later and her store has grown from strength to strength and her talents have been recognized in all different mediums, articles and now, a Martell VSOP Rising Personality Award!
These accessories are from her latest Tailor Made collection.
When we first wrote about Theresa and her designs, she already had a list of achievements - including having her clothes being stocked in fashion capitals like Paris, Spain, United States, Singapore, Australia, and Thailand.
Her newest A/W09 collection bears testament to her undoubted skills.
The winner of the Award (who will receive a cash prize of RM20,000; an all expense paid trip to Cognac, France to visit the Martell facilities; and 10 bottles of Martell VSOP) will be announced in November 2009, and the decision will be determined via public voting and a panel of well-known talented judges.
If you're a fan of either of these young designers, make sure you show your love through your votes! The public voting is open from 8th October till 5th November 2009 at the Martell Rise Above website. One lucky voter will even walk away with a party worth RM10,000 to be enjoyed with friends!
