FashBlog Focus: Qin at the Disco
Singaporean blog Qin at the Disco has been getting more publicity of late, having being interviewed by The Clothes Horse, and more recently, the Straits Times alongside Fashionation. Blogger behind Qin at the Disco, Ong Yi Qin, turns the black mantra on its head and injects splashes of colour in everyday outfits, making hers one colourful blog to look at.
Currently studying at Ngee Ann Polytechnic with the hopes of getting into the Fashion PR industry, 19-year-old Yi Qin celebrates each day with a healthy dose of colour.
She favours pairing tops with full skirts - a very flattering silhouette for every body type!
Although pants feature very irregularly in her ensembles, she pulls it off with great flair when she does wear them.
On the occasion that she wears a primarily black outfit, she makes sure to add bold accessories to fend off any monotone dullness.
If you haven't noticed already, there is one common theme in her outfits - a headband. Could you guess that Blair Wardolf was her favourite character in Gossip Girl? ;)
Here she shows how a blazer can add formality to any outfit. She wore each of these ensembles during her internship with a insurance company!
A self-confessed fan of Forever 21, Uniqlo, and Threadless tees; other thrifted wares also fill the space in Yi Qin's wardrobe.
