That strange looking little piece of fabric you see layered atop a skirt is definitely an acquired taste but my my, doesn't it complement a tiny waist! Fashion has been going through a revival for a while now so it was only a matter of time before they got to the peplum; a staple in the 1980s and early '90s.

They are available on their website over here. However, with a local retail price in the three digit section, it might be a bit steep for us wallet-tightening recessionistas.
Thankfully, Velvet Ribbon sells a nice range of peplum skirts too. For a selling price of less than RM60, the blogshop offers a reasonable alternative to the pricey masses.

What do you think of peplum skirts? Did you notice it before? Love it or hate it, do tell us!
