Have you felt pangs of emptiness since the end of Malaysian Dreamgirl? Breathed a sigh of disappointment recently from the lack of exciting drama-rama that only a clash of girls can bring? Well hold on to your mouses (and remote), for Maybelline New York is here to make your wishes come true with their new Maybelline New York Simply Fabulous web series!
Over the past two weeks, Maybelline New York Simply Fabulous roadshows have been popping up around various colleges and universities scouting for fresh faces to take part in their first ever online reality show. Girls aged between 18 to 30 years of age who visited the roadshows were treated with a makeover by a Maybelline professional makeup artist.
All they had to do next was look stunning for the camera and submit an entry form confessing the one dream they've always wanted to make a reality. (For those who could not make the roadshows, entries were submitted online instead.)
Maybelline New York then whittles down the 1000 over submissions to just ten girls who will go through various challenges on their path to transformation.
The winner stands to win a trip to New York City to meet international supermodels and makeup artists, partake in New York Fashion Week, earn RM10,000 in cash sponsorship as well as other prizes worth RM50,000.
You can laugh, cry and cheer along with the girls’ highs and lows at www.8tv.com.my/simplyfabulous. Starting from 20th September onwards, the ‘webisodes’ will be screened on the website while the grand finale will be broadcasted on 8TV.
