Just-For-Fun Friday: Michael Jackson Fashion Tributes
You probably know by now that Michael Jackson passed away last week. While it's undeniable that his death marked the end of an era and that we've lost a great driving force in pop culture, many of us face different reactions to his passing. Some shrug with indifference. Some tearfully play his music on repeat. Some spend hours youtube-ing related video clips and googling related news stories. And some carry mourning on their sleeves via daily fashion tributes.

Michael Jackson was just as much a style icon, as was his influence on the music scene. When you think Michael Jackson, you think military jackets, embellishments, sequins, aviators and fedoras. Quite recently, a number of celebrities have been paying tribute to all these things, some in preparation for his This Is It tour, some in memory of him, and some just completely by influence.
Beyonce told guys they should've put a ring on her gloved finger.

Chris Brown made fashion choices to go with his Jackson-inspired dance moves.

Megan Good and Vanessa Simmons tipped their fedoras off to him.

Right after news hit of his passing, Samantha Ronson and Lindsay Lohan went to dinner in matching tributary outfits.

Not long after that, Lohan also danced around to Jackson tunes without any pants on.

And not forgetting the military jackets that sparked the Balmain movement which has been wholeheartedly embraced by the fashion forward, now more than ever.

In fact, just yesterday, sevendays highlighted their new stock, focusing on sequined structures. I'm particularly loving the embellished military vest (on the left, for RM139).

What say you? Would you dress in tribute to Michael Jackson? Or do you personally think its tacky? What was your favourite Michael Jackson look? How are you mourning his death?
