Beauty On Tuesdays: L'Oreal Paris Star Secrets Crystals
Look like a star with the L'Oreal Paris Star Secrets Crystals collection! Sparkle and shine as its concept, this collection comprises of three Color Appeal Eye Shadow Quads paired with Color Riche Lipsticks, each inspired by Penelope Cruz, Aishwarya Rai and Zhang Zilin.
Color Appeal Eye Shadow Quads
Each quad is designed to have shades that compliment each other for a complete eye makeup look. Creamy in texture, the eye shadows not only give great color payoff but also blends beautifully. For the shimmer to look more dazzling, the base of every shadow is transparent. This also allows the intensity to be built as desired.
The quads come with a double-sided sponge tip applicator and a small mirror for on-the-go application. On the display stands there are charts to show color placements. It would've been better if those charts were printed on the back of the quads to help guide its users though.
Zhang Zilin's Blue Crystals creates a fun and fresh look with colorful cool shades.
To get a subtle yet exotic look, try Aishwarya Rai's Violet Crystals.
My personal favorite is Penelope Cruz's Toffee Crystals for a warm golden smokey look.
To achieve this look, start by applying the lightest shade on the entire lid up to the brow bone. Then, using the soft brown below it, apply color onto the lid up to the crease. Darken the outer corner and define the crease with the darkest shade. Pat on the gold to the centre of the lid. Finish off with black liquid eyeliner and mascara. Color Riche Lipsticks
Each quad can be paired with a lipstick (sold separately) from the same inspiration or you could mix and match them. Enriched with gold metashine, Color Riche Lipsticks gives rich hues and glamorous shine without looking chunky.
The formula goes on smooth and creamy as Vitamin E and Omega 3 act as a treatment to moisturize and soften lips.
The eyeshadow retails for RM45.90 and the lipstick is RM33.90, available at all pharmacies, hypermarkets and department stores that have L’Oreal counters.
