Chic POP: Samsung Ultra Touch Bloggers
Chic POP is happening in exactly a week's time and we're super excited! Besides food, drinks, DIY fashion workshops, DIY makeup, and lucky draws for Samsung Ultra Touch phones, you'll also get to view our Samsung Ultra Bloggers' ensembles of black with a streak of red (which is the dress code for the night btw).

1. Renee Tay, 23
Editorial Content Executive
www.reneetay.com

Renee returned from National Service three years ago and has been blogging ever since. Focusing on style, movie reviews, and happenings about town; Renee also indulges in putting out random thoughts and credits herself with the gift of the gab.
Citing her mother as her fashion icon, Renee favours vintage and swears by jeans. She usually shops at weekend bazaars and flea markets, and frequents Etsy, Ebay and SallyJane.
2. Hoe Hui Wen, forever 21
Auditor
revel-in-me.blogspot.com

For almost three years, Hui Wen has been blogging about food, her dog, shopping, and her battle with people calling her vertically-challenged. Despite singing off-key, challenging dares, and laughing too loud for her own good; Hui Wen is someone who tells people to love themselves for who they are and what they stand for.
A believer that treasures are to be found everywhere, Hui Wen gets happy digging for pieces that contribute to her style – often described by others as whimsical, colourful and quirky. Quick to admit that she shops more than she should, Hui Wen would rather create her own style than follow an existing one. Nevertheless, she looks to the Olsen twins, Daisy Lowe and Agyness Deyn for inspiration.
3. Ellie Chee
Architectural Technology Student
www.missycheerio.com

A fan of black, Ellie loves cheap goodies at Bangsar boutiques and vintage items besides her occasional splurge on killer shoes at Zara. Despite sounding like she spends most of her cash at stores, Ellie actually shops online most of the time, promising herself to hunt all bargains down during her hols.
Describing her style as simple and sophisticated yet edgy, she’s been blogging for three years about personal matters such as her architectural work, love, relationships and a bit of everything else. A love for composing poetry and a penchant for portrait photography also adds to the mystery of MissyCheerio who claims, “People seek for ways and yearn to be different & special. There will come a point when the savour of just being ordinary, ends up feeling a million times better.”
4. Eleanor Ng, forever 25
Fashion Designer/Boutique Owner
itchykitschy.blogspot.com

An independent fashion designer who showed at Malaysian Fashion Week last year, Eleanor also manages Marmalade café and Kitsch boutique, “…as a self-driven slave,” so she proclaims.
Describing her style as a discarded mess due to trying different things all the time, Eleanor states architecture as a fashion influence, “My eyes crave the visual ecstasy of merely looking at a well constructed, well designed building. I find the mathematical aspects in creating a floor plan for the layers and folds of everyday life pretty darn impressive.”
Dictating herself as old in blogger years (she’s been blogging for five), Eleanor tends to launch into long abiding essays of her exaggerated life with style shoots to boost. When asked how much she spends a month on shopping, she answers, “To answer this question would be like admitting to a murder, so I'm just going to play the coy and mysterious fashionista with this: fashion knows no price.”
5. Tey Cindy, 22
Model/Actor
www.jadezheng.com

Winning the Malaysian Dreamgirl 2008 contest was Cindy’s kickstart into Malaysian spotlight. Originally from small town Labis, Cindy has been blogging for five years about food, travel, fashion, make up, health tips, and the occasional personal rant.
Currently working with The Actor's Studio and KLPAC, Cindy doesn’t claim to have a specific style as long as it’s casual, elegant and most importantly, comfortable. A real family girl at heart, she notes Vanessa Hudgens as a fashion influence and can shop anywhere from 1 Utama mall to a night market.
When asked why the name Jade Zheng, Cindy answers, “Tey Cindy (Zheng Xin Yu) means Happy Beautiful Jade in Mandarin. Tey is read as 'Zheng'. Therefore, Tey Cindy = Jade Zheng.”
6. Tai Wei Wei, 18
Student
myheelsandflats.blogspot.com

An A-levels student at HELP college; Wei Wei is an undeniable fan of fashion who also loves music, partying and great food. Looking up to Lady Gaga, she believes you should just have fun and wear whatever you want.
She has a thing for mixing, matching and mismatching whatever she finds. A regular at flea markets, Bangsar and Topshop; her favourite purchase has been an Alexander McQueen skull scarf. When she’s not shopping, Wei Wei is busy surfing websites like Style.Com, Tongue in chic, Lookbook and Jak & Jil.
7. Jezmine Zaidan
Fashion Assistant
jezmineblossom.blogspot.com

No stranger to the online fashion world, Jezmine is renowned for her seemingly boundless shopping trips, retrieving some of the coolest pieces for the cheapest prices at local bundle shops. Her daytime job involves picking items out for shoots at high end designer stores, making it a dream job for most with her passion.
Also the owner of online shop Old Blossom Box Store the kitschy pieces Jezmine sells are usually sold within 24 hours they’re put online. How’s that for high demand! A regular at flea markets, the Project Runway Malaysia finalist can be found selling handmade bags and second hand items from her huge wardrobe.
8. Natalie Fong Jean, 19
Communications & Media Management Student
nataliefong.blogspot.com

Natalie can be seen purchasing goods from flea markets to high street fashion boutiques. A blogger for four years, she blogs about everything from what she eats, to getting her driver’s license, to other interests like arts & crafts, music and cooking. Blogging aside, Natalie catches up with fashion news and trends by researching on celebrity forums and blogshops.
She cites Janice Man and Angelababy as her favourite Asian fashion icons, secretly adores (not so secret now!) Victoria Beckam’s wardrobe, and treasures her Fossil Multifunction Black Dial (her best buy).
All 8 bloggers have been using the Samsung Ultra Touch phone for the past few weeks.
